Here is the first released family photo of Katherine Heigl, Josh Kelley, and their new little girl, Naleigh.

The couple’s rep said in a statement, “Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well.”

Katherine and Josh adopted the adorable 10 month old Naleigh from South Korea. Baby Naleigh was named after Katherine’s mother, Nancy and her sister Margaret Leigh, who was also adopted from Korea.

She revealed: “It’s been a big part of my life and my family. My sister is Korean and my parents adopted her back in the 70s and so I just always knew that this is something I wanted to do. I just wanted to make sure that I was marrying a guy who understands that this was going to have to happen. Not everybody is down with that, not everybody thinks that.”

According to reports Katherine and Josh have been waiting in anticipation for this new little child since late last year.

“Katie and Josh were aware it could take years, so they were being patient. They are thrilled to have a child in their lives, no matter what the challenges.”

Speaking to Ellen Degeneres, Katherine said, “About a year ago is when we said, ‘OK, let’s start the process,’ and the process is intense.”

Congrats to the new parents and we are happy that the adoption process is over and that baby Naleigh is safely home with them.

According to Radar, Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelley are adopting a baby this week.

“She and Josh are so happy,” the source said.

The couple have wanted a baby for a while now, the adoption process has been in the works for at least six months.

The baby girl is from Korea. Her full name is Naleigh, and she is approximately 10 months old.

The idea of adoption is nothing new for the actress, as she told USA Today two years ago that it’s something she’s always planned.

“I’m done with the whole idea of having my own children. [It] doesn’t seem like any fun. I don’t think it’s necessary to go through all of that.”

Katherine is on leave of absence from Grey’s and starts filming  her new movie “Life As We Know It” next week.

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and husband, singer Josh Kelley, were shocked this morning to see that one of their cars was broken into last night outside of their Hollywood Hills home.

The SUV’s driver’s window was smashed and luckily only the GPS system was taken. The musician’s pricey guitars, which were in the car at the time, were left behind. “I guess people who do this are pretty stupid,” he said.

After Kelley cleared off the glass with a white sock, he and Heigl jumped in their car and headed for their new house, which is under renovation, to meet up with Heigl’s mom.

The Grey’s Anatomy star got married last Thursday at the Stein Eriksen Lodge to singer Josh Kelley. Heigl wore an Oscar de la Renta gown and walked the aisle to a song specially composed by Kelley.

Heigl told reporters ahead of time that there would be no celebrities on the guest list, but fellow Grey’s castmembers T.R. Knight (who doubled as a groomsmen), Sandra Oh and Justin Chambers, as well as Private Practice’s Kate Walsh.

Kelley popped the question last summer, a little more than a year after Heigl was cast in his music video for “Only You.”

In an interview with Hollywood.com Katherine Heigl had some tips for walking down the aisle. For all you stressed out brides to be here’s a little advise from a girl that knows how to put together a beautiful wedding.

 1. First you have to have a groom and Katherine says: To find the perfect groom don’t go looking! “I had sort of given up on the idea of marriage and family. I had a relationship that ended, I was really disappointed, and I had all these high hopes. I just went ‘Screw it, I don’t need a man.’ I sort of had given up on the concept of it and figured I could do it on my own, if I wanted to have a family I could do it on my own. Then boom! I met this guy that I couldn’t imagine living without.”

2. Be kind to your bridesmaids: “My best friend, who got married like eight years ago, was also very considerate. No one was trying to make us look bad, which was nice.”

3. Depend on your maid of honor: “It’s a stressful role, because you want to make sure that you take care of everything that needs to be taken care of, so that the bride herself will have an amazing day.”

4. Be prepared for overwhelming emotions on the big day: “At Kate Walsh’s wedding I was so not going to cry–it didn’t even come into my brain. I had nothing on me, no tissues or anything, and I was looking at people with their tissues like ‘Oh, you guys are lame. It’s not that dramatic.’ As soon as the music started, I started crying.”

5. Talk with other brides to be: “With two brides-to-be in the room, there’s only one topic of conversation.”

6. Remember what works in the relationship-and work on what doesn’t: “Laughter and communication–That is what really works for Josh and me…I’m not terribly sentimental. I have my moments, but generally speaking I shy away from being too lovey-dovey.”

So here is something new. To go along with Kathrine Heigl’s new untraditional antics she has asked one of her best friends, fellow ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star, T.R. Knight to be h er so called “bridesman” in her wedding. Hey why not? Good for them.

T.R. Knight commented on his role as bridesman in Katherine’s wedding (to Josh Kelley), saying, “I’m standing up there and all. So I have to go and get the tux. And I am still deciding on a gift!”
