Everybody has a dream. After all, the celebs we report on all followed theirs and ended up in Hollywood right? So where do dreams start? Most of us would agree they start in school and that’s exactly what film makers Kimberly Goodman and Henri Hebert sought out to portray in their documentary film, “Dream With Me.”
Along their journey, which consisted of spending one year experiencing America’s public school system, these two women had an eye opening experience. Their website points out that “as a nation, we spend more money per student than any other country on the planet. But academically, America is consistently among the lowest-performing countries in the industrial world. What’s wrong with our education system? Is it the students? Teachers? Parents? Administrators? Or is it the system itself?”
These were the questions Kimberly and Henri sought to answer. The duo filmed for an entire school year in 3 public schools (elementary, middle, and high school) with unlimited access and the full cooperation of the schools. They existed as students themselves, learning just how deep the problems run in public schools and how our youth are affected. Combining hours of footage and observation, Henri and Kimberly both “feel we have something unique and special” in this documentary. And Hollywood agrees. Dream With Me was recently featured on Reelz TV “Hollywood Dailies” and received acclaim.

You can help Kimberly and Henri continue to follow their dreams too. Donate to Dream With Me at www.dreamwithme.org and help these two filmmakers surpass not only their goals but the goals of America’s youth too. As C.S Lewis stated, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
For the first time since losing custody of 3 year old, Sean Preston, and 2 year old, Jayden James, Britney Spears was allowed to take the boys on an out-of-state trip. Britney and her boys left L.A. on Friday morning headed for her home state of Louisiana. They are expected to stay for a week before returning home to daddy Kevin Federline. Britney Spears was seen at the Millenium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, showing off her dance moves to a couple of kids.
Apparently, she is teaching the kids how to let loose and dance. I don’t know what mothers would allow their child to be with Britney right now in her condition. But what ever floats their boat.
Maybe this teaching thing will be good for Brit. I mean the girl can dance. I’ve always wanted to learn her dance moves.
Millennium co-owner Robert Baker told press, “She worked out this great little routine for them, they were dancing all over the place, she had them dancing in a circle like a choo-choo train. The kids loved it- they are having a ball right now. And Britney- she’s just drinking it up. She’s totally enjoying herself. It’s an amazing class- she and the kids are certainly enjoying the process.”
“Britney’s telling me that she likes this so much that she’s thinking about making it a regular thing, possibly every other week. She loves to interact with the kids, and she feels that it’s important to give back to the dance community.”
