Here is the press release that was sent on the event.....

Larry Pollack, Owner and Founder of the rock-western restaurant/bar Saddle Ranch Chop House, and the visionary Founder of P.L.A.Y. (Providing Laughter and Amusement for Youth), will host the first ever “Come P.L.A.Y. in the Jungle” Charity Event on Sunday, July 20, 2008. The event will take place amidst the palatial backdrop and beautiful landscape of Old Lion Manor, a private 3-acre estate located in the posh community of Hidden Hills.

Garnering tremendous support for its twice annual “Babes on the Bull” fundraiser, P.L.A.Y. is enthusiastic about turning the traditional notion of a charity fundraiser upside down with its “Come P.L.A.Y. in the Jungle” event. With jungle-themed dancers, exotic animals, henna tattoo artists, hot air balloon rides, elephant and camel rides, a casino, and many more surprises up their sleeves, P.L.A.Y. organizers want the event to reflect the heart and soul of the organization. P.L.A.Y. is dedicated to donating toys, books and games to children in hospitals, shelters and community centers, thereby providing laughter and amusement to youth facing difficult circumstances in their day-to-day lives.

“I am passionate about sharing the good fortune and blessings in my life with children facing various challenges that stand in the way of their ability to simply enjoy their childhood,” says P.L.A.Y. Founder Larry Pollack. “There is no greater joy than seeing children’s eyes light up at the sight of a new toy, and even though that toy can’t change their life circumstances, it is my sincere hope that it can help them escape their troubles, if even for a little while.” While the event will be open to adults only, guests can let their inner child run free to benefit a good cause. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event. All toy and monetary donations made during the event will benefit P.L.A.Y.

Companies and brands are invited to lend their support and branding to this high-profile charity event through sponsorship. Sponsors will receive logo recognition on select marketing materials, the opportunity to increase brand visibility and awareness among an influential group of spenders, the ability to leverage the marketing/publicity campaign of P.L.A.Y., VIP access to tables and/or cabanas at the event, the opportunity to sponsor select activities, depending on their level of commitment, and most importantly, the opportunity to champion a worthy cause.P.L.A.Y. (Providing Laughter and Amusement for Youth) is a not-for-profit organization founded by business entrepreneur Larry Pollack with the simple goal of bringing instant smiles to the faces of children whose current life circumstances may otherwise give them little to smile about.
