First Lady Michelle Obama has invited the cast of ‘Glee’ to come perform at the White house.
US Magazine is reporting that they are going to be performing at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on April 5th, which is just one week before the show comes back from hiatus. The cast is understandably excited, saying
“white. house. obama. yes. Kbye … so unreal. love me some obamz,” Kevin McHale Twittered Monday, while Naya Rivera added, “Two words… White house!!!!!!” Amber Riley gushed, “Singing at the white house. I’m in total disbelief… So excited to meet my President and First Lady!!!! Yay!!!”
Good for them! Also a fun treat for all the kids that come to the White House for the annual event. One thing you can say, the new administration is definitely young at heart! Past performers at the White House include the likes of The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. The Obama’s will be streaming the event live, so everyone can enjoy from their own homes.
Jessalyn Gilsig, Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Jane Lynch
The second season of Glee won’t be back on TV until April 13, but creator, Ryan Murphy gave us a heads up on some changes taking place.
Ryan Murphy announced that Chris Colfer’s character, Kurt Hummel, is getting an “out and proud” boyfriend.
They are holding open auditions for a “male Mercedes” for Kurt, a “sort of Eve Harrington [from All About Eve] to kind of steal Rachel’s [played by Lea Michele] thunder a little, and an R&B singing teen,” who is a possible love interest for Mercedes.
This is so impressive. If any of you had any question of whether or not the actors on Glee could really sing, here’s your proof!
The entire cast of Glee was on hand at game 3 of the World Series in Philly to sing the National Anthem, and they did an AMAZING job. Seriously, it brought tears to my eyes. Makes me love the show even more.
Next week on Glee you’re going to hear Lea Michele get her Broadway on as she performs “Defying Gravity” which as some of you know is the hit song from the amazing Broadway musical ‘Wicked’.
Next week’s episode of Glee is full of fantastic performances, including Mercedes covering Jill Scott’s ‘Hate On Me’ and a Rachel/Finn version of Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s ‘No Air.’
But the most dramatic scene is the climatic glee club moment when they sing Avril Lavigne’s ‘Keep Holding On.”
Glee stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele were on the view yesterday to talk about the show, their audition process, and a little bit about Barbara Streisand!
The cast of Glee, one of the most talked about new shows of the fall season, was on The Bonnie Hunt Show and revealed a little bit about their auditioning process and hanging out off-set.
