Okay, so her pitch is horribly embarrassing–I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone, except for maybe a two-year old, throw a ball this badly.

Dude, she looks like a pre-teen trying to take hand-me-down, mismatched clothing and assemble it into a stylish outfit. Ummm, sorry, but that outfit failed to deliver on so many counts (unless you consider “Repulsion” a fashion category). And did you see the shoes in the video!? Holy hell! I’m embarrassed for America.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s wedding pictures are in the new issue of People magazine (in case you need some actual proof, cuz just like me, you still can’t believe they got married).
The two secretly wed on April 30 at her home in the Bahamas.
Mimi told the mag that she feels Nick is her “soulmate.” Nick said, “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me. She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.” Nick appears in Mariah’s new music video for her latest single ‘Bye Bye‘ –he plays an ex boyfriend that Mariah is reminiscing about. The couple looks weird to me. What do you think?
The New York Post has also reported that Mimi and Nick have indeed gotten married. But all is not happily ever after…yet. Unfortunately for her, the paper is also reporting that Carey didn’t make Cannon sign a prenuptial agreement. Supposedly the sources said “there wasn’t enough time.” In that case, I hope this ‘marriage’ lasts, or else Nick Cannon is going to be REALLY glad he eloped with her, if you catch my drift!
Hollywire just got reports from one of the guys in Nick’s entourage that they are all out in the Bahamas…. The same place where it’s being reported that a wedding between the two has already taken place… So, after speculating about that giant rock Mariah Carey was sporting at the Tribeca Film Festival was an engagement ring, it now seems as if Mariah and Nick have just recently taken it to that next level and gotten married at Carey’s new home in the Bahamas!!!!
This news seems to come at a pivotal time for Carey, during the week her pop chart rival, Madonna, has a new album in stores. Is this a marketing gimmick just to create publicity for Carey? I don’t know but props to Mariah for having great timing!
Word of the wedding comes from Latina.com, where an unnamed source confirms the couple swapped vows on Wednesday in a “very impulsive” small ceremony on an undisclosed island.
The event was reportedly attended by just a few close friends. One of which, was Da Brat, whose Vegas birthday party was one of the sites the newlywed couple was seen canoodling at.
So if this is all true, it would be a second marriage for Mimi (who was previously wed to Tommy Mottola) and a first for Nick (who was engaged to Selita Ebanks last year).
I think I will hold off in sending any wedding gifts until I hear an official confirmation from Carey or Cannon’s reps, because who knows how long this will last.
But congratulations to the newlyweds anyway— even if this is a publicity stunt!
Mariah Carey was spotted with a dazzling new piece of bling on her finger Saturday night at the after party for her new film, Tennessee, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, according to People magazine.
Both Mariah and her boy-toy Nick Cannon are at the film festival in New York to promote their movies; Cannon’s basketball film Ball Don’t Lie and Carey’s Tennessee.
The couple made every attempt not to be spotted together at the festival. But Carey was happy to pose for photographs with a diamond ring on her wedding finger, adding to speculation she is to marry for the second time. Of course she was happy to pose with that on her finger- I would be too! Just look at it!
Access Hollywood is also reporting that Mariah and Nick are definitely getting married.
So to answer the question correctly: yes, that is an engagement ring she’s been wearing recently!
Mariah is 38-years old. Nick’s only 27! Actually, now that I think about it, there are celebrity couples with bigger age differences than that. (Let’s not forget Michael Douglas, shall we?)
Mariah was previously married to music mogul Tommy Mottola. Nick was previously engaged to Selita Banks, a Victoria’s Secret model. This will be his first marriage, though.
The singer has been dating Cannon since he teamed up with her in a new video.

The Empire State Building in NYC in known for putting on a light shows for special occasions. This time it is lighting it’s top for Mariah Carey in honor of the diva’s new album E=MC2. The lights will change from pink, to lavender, then to white.
Mariah herself is going to be at a ceremony tomorrow at 1 pm at the building to flip the switch on a scale model of the building.
