The one and only Mariah took over Times Square for a special live performance on Good Morning America this morning, April 25th, to promote her new album, E=MC2, and kick off the show’s Summer Concert Series.

As expected, she created quite a stir. But, beyond all the glitter, there was no gold.

She had a back-up track assisting her, but a slight mishap with timing caught her off guard, making it obvious that the performance was partially lipsynched. The diva was apparently not amused.

The lipsynching was excusable and even expected, especially since she was performing on an outdoor stage on live television. We know the girl can hit the notes, but this performance left me, a Mariah fan since Aquanet hairspray and Exclamation perfume were popular, less than impressed.

Cue flashback:

She carefully walked - well, wiggled - on stage, in a tight pink mini-dress, 6-inch+ heels and large stunna shades, looking fabulous in her new fit and slim figure.

So, the look - hot.

Stage - blinging feast for the eyes.

Mariah?

She looked like she could hardly breathe, let alone belt out a ballad in true Mariah fashion. If she were to get down and dirty like the singing diva the world knows and loves, we’d see nothing but thong. She’d tear that mini upstream.

Don’t even get me started on the heels. She hardly moved, besides a bit of head bobbing, hip swaying and knee bending. Not saying you gotta get all Janet up in here, but we know what you’re worth, Mariah. With your voice, you don’t even need all that showy b*llsh*t. Just strut out there in a little black dress and sing it to us, girl!

Okay, let me allow you, the viewer, to be the judge.

She started with her current hit “Touch My Body.”

Of course, Diane and Robin were not going to let her get away before they asked her for the secret to her weight loss success. OMG, yes, please tell us, what’s your secret???

The answer? Exercise and dieting. No. F*ing. Way. Yeah, no way is right. I’m sure the money for those personal trainers, personal chefs, stylists and plastic surgeons had nothing to do with it, right MC?

Again, I am a fan, but how jaded by fame do you have to be to so casually react to the fact they are lighting the f*ing Empire State Building in pink and lavendar in your honor?!

Her second song was “That Chick.”

Then, she ended with a song that was inspired by a personal loss, “Bye Bye.”

FYI: she has a new perfume (A celeb trend. What took you so long, Mariah?) and independent film coming out soon.

The answer to that question?Nick Cannon.Yes, the actor rapper deejay Nick Cannon has been dating Mariah for a couple of weeks now. Carey’s rep has denied to People that her and Cannon are dating, but the duo looked cozy at a party last week in Las Vegas.The pair took a private jet to Vegas and headed straight to the club Privé at Planet Hollywood, where Cannon was scheduled to deejay for Da Brat’s birthday party. Talk about a sugar mama! Private jet?!”We have a very special person in the house tonight,” Cannon called out on the microphone. “Happy birthday, Brat.” He also seemed to give Carey a shout-out of her own. She stood up on the back of the booth and raised her wine glass when Cannon put on Jay-Z’s “Public Service Announcement” and sang along with the lyrics, “I got the hottest chick in the game.” Well, he has that right, Mariah has been/is one of the hottest women in the music industry.They met while working on a video for her new album, E= MC2. Sources say that Nick was supposed to only make a cameo, but Mariah quickly promoted him to video director. It looks like their 11 year age difference isn’t standing in the way of their getting to know each other rather well from then on out. I say more power to her for dating a younger man!

Mariah Carey, Carlos Santana, and Donald Trump are the newest celebrities to be featured in Macy’s Where Stars Come Together commercials.  It’s kinda cool to see Santana team up with Mariah.

Post Chronicle is claiming that power house singer, Mariah Carey is a coke addict. The reason for this claim is unknown.

The source is from a prominent New York City lawyer who is claiming that the singer used and still uses “cocaine” on a regular bases.

The lawyer says that one night Mariah was upstairs, and in front of her was a “bowl of coke.” He continues with saying that, “she uses it on the regular.”

I was shocked to find out from several of those who have at one point been in Mariah’s circle, that she indeed has used cocaine at different points in her career.

These accusations do not surprise me in the least. I mean it’s sad, but a lot of people in the industry use cocaine. It is what probably got her to lose so much weight. Her weight is a big issue in the tabloids, she was probably desperate and it being easy access and all she decided to go for it.

If this is a true claim, we probably will be seeing her making a public statement soon. Anyways, I hope she gets some help.
