Robert Pattinson stopped by The Today Show on Monday morning, March 1st, to promote his new movie Remember Me.
Rob talked to Matt Lauer about making the transition from promoting Twilight: New Moon to addressing question with new and clever responses about his new film.
Matt asked Robert about his Details spread, to which he replied,
I offered to do a naked photo shoot, and no one wanted to see it. It started off with me naked, but then they’re just like, ‘Actually just, forget it.’
Remember Me premieres tonight in NYC and will hit theaters around the globe on Friday.
Matt Lauer does his first voice over for Hark Hanson in Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey.
Matt said he did the movie for his children, Jack, 9, Romy, 6, and Thijs, 3. Matt said,
I just think it’s a kick. I mean, we talk so much on my show about entertainment and pop culture and negative influences on children, and here you have a chance to be part of something that’s just good wholesome family fun that my kids already have a history with.
Why not give them a little bit of a thrill to see their dad involved with something like that?
During a behind-the-scene-segment, on the Today Show, the co-hosts show viewers some footage of Meredith and Matt being a little too playful.
During an interview with Martha Stewart, Matt playfully shoves Meredith and to get him back she kicks her foot up to hit him, and she accidentally kicks him in the groin or “peppercorns” as Al Roker likes to call them.
Shia LaBeouf was being interviewed on the Today Show by Meredith Vieira when she spotted this young fan outside with Matt Lauer who was going crazy over Shia. She asks Meredith if Shia would be coming out side.
Shia wasn’t about to let himself loose outside with all his crazy girl fans, but seeing that this girl, Samantha, really wanted to meet Shia, Matt invited her up to the studio to meet the Transformer actor.
Meredith asks Shia if he noticed Samantha outside and he said ”I like Samantha a lot. She seems like a real special person. I would love to meet her – is she here?” They bring Samantha in and make her bring Shia a cup of coffee.
Shia super super nice and thankful for his coffee says that he is upset that there is no chair for her to set down next to him in. He than comments on her outfit saying, “You look great. Is this your morning hi, say nice things to Shia outfit?” Samantha says no that she just bought her dress and that she has been planning it out all week.
Seeing that Shia and Sam have some sort of connection, Meredith gets up from her seat and gives it to Sam.
Samantha is overwhelmed when Meredith asks her if she has any questions for Shia. She stutters out “I don’t know what to ask … I’m in shock … what kind of girl are you interested in – honestly, honestly. Just be honest.”
Shia answers her, in a flirtatious way, “All kinds. All kinds. I don’t have a specific.”
Meredith screams, “He doesn’t have a girlfriend!” While Samantha just says “Oh my God!”
Then Shia leans in and asks Samantha, “What are doing for the rest of the day? My day is boring. Samantha says that she’s with her four friends.
Shia looks thrilled and says, “Four friends. You’ve round up the troops already.”
Samantha than asks Shia to say to her friends and than to take a picture with her.
