It’s not exactly a million dollars but $956,000 is close enough. Who would pay this much for a nonsense painting? Money Bag’s Pitt that’s who.
Brad Pitt attended an international art show in Switzerland yesterday and fell in love with a 9-foot-wide racetrack oil painting by German artist Neo Rauch. The painting depicts a driver behind a red, Formula One-style race car, with workers nearby carrying candy-colored hoses.
Sources tell the publication, Brad “rubbed his goatee, fiddled with his tweed driving cap, then walked away.” He later returned to the booth of New York dealer David Zwirner and offered $956,000 for the colorful painting, circa 1998.
