Our very own celebrity blogger Austin Anderson was lucky enough to attend a taping of the most recent Dancing With the Stars performance, and got some behind the scenes footage of the dancers for us!
Sadly, Aaron Carter was voted off ABC’s Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night.
It came down to Aaron Carter and Kelly Osbourne, but it could be Carter’s Foxtrot on Monday night that sent him home. Aaron and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, only managed to score a 23 out of 30 on the dance on Monday night, the lowest score of the night.
Upon his exit, Carter held his head high and said:
“One thing that I will always remember from this competition is the lessons I’ve learned. I’ve grown some much with your compliments and your criticisms, so thank you. Thank you for helping me be able to grow on this show.”
Judge, Len Goodman, offered up some emotional and encouraging words to Carter upon his exit, saying:
“I think the dedication that you have shown week after week is absolutely fantastic. I think you’re an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible, and if you were my son, I would be so proud of you. But more important, you be proud of yourself, because you’ve been great.”
Joining Kelly Osbourne in the semifinals are Joanna Krupa, Donny Osmand and Mya. The four couples will be required to dance one unlearned Ballroom and Latin dance from Weeks 1-6 with a 15-second solo and one more dance which has not been revealed.
HOLLYWIRE interviewed Kelly Osbourne AND Aaron Carter recently, check out the interviews below:
Last night on Dancing With The Stars, Mya and her partner Dmitry Chaplin did an amazing Rumba and became the highest scoring couple of the night. In case you missed it or want to want to see the beautiful seductive dance again watch the video below.
Here is an interview with Mya after the show where she discusses how she feels about head judge Len Goodman, Tom DeLay and his stress fractures, and about being the first celeb to get 10s by the judges.
How does it feel getting those two 10s?
I was so not expecting that, because it was a slow dance. I was like, “We had the jive last week and we killed it [we got three 9s], so I don’t know how we’re going to live up to it.” So [last night] I just went outside of myself…I guess I moved or tickled someone.
But then there’s Len! Do you think he’s grumpy just to be grumpy?
I don’t think so, but I don’t know what he wants. I feel like if we give Len what he wants we’re not going to please the other judges. If we did a slow and simple routine we wouldn’t have gotten 10s from Carrie Ann and Bruno.
How on earth is Tom DeLay still competing?
I feel for him. I’ve had a stress fracture in one foot and I could not even walk. They put me on crutches—and he’s dancing on two! That’s commendable. I really respect him for trying to stay in the competition with two fractured feet. I don’t know how he’s even walking.
Do you think he’s getting sympathy votes?
I actually think he’s doing a good job. His choreography was clean. Maybe it wasn’t technically correct, but I really enjoy watching him more than some others because he’s having a good time. That’s what it’s all about.
Now, let’s talk about Donny Osmond and Bruno. I didn’t know what the heck was going on. We can see it on the monitors backstage, but we can’t hear much audio. We were all in shock. We were like, What is going on?…But then we were all talking and realized you know what it is, it’s the full moon! That explains it.
I tweeted that Donny made the show even gayer than it already is. That’s not a bad thing, is it? [Laughs.] It was hilarious when he said, “I don’t know if they’re going to let me back in Utah.”
Now, we just have to get Tom DeLay on top of the judges’ desk with Bruno. I do not want to see that.

Celebrities came out to James Costa’s Hollywood Hills mansion yesterday evening with their dogs to support the Stop Puppy Mills project and raise awareness of it’s importance as well.
Celebrities in attendance included Khloe Kardashian and fiance, LA Laker’s player Lamar Odom, Ginnifer Goodwin, Mya, Christian Serratos, Brittny Gastineau, and more.
Check out the other celebs in the gallery and read more about the Stop Puppy Mills project below:
About the Stop Puppy Mills Project:
Puppy mills are mass breeding facilities that provide “inventory” of puppies for many of the major pet store chains. Adult dogs are forced to constantly breed in abusive conditions with little human contact and inadequate veterinary care. Nick Friedberg of NSF has designed a line of limited edition fine jacquard bracelets and matching dog collars to create awareness about this cause. 100% of NSF’s profits from the sale of the merchandise will go toward The Humane Society of the United States’ efforts to rescue dogs from puppy mills and put an end to these abusive breeding facilities.
Last night was Ladies Night and the women got a chance to strut their stuff on the dance floor. All in all I think they did a much better job than the men did. Kelly Osbourne and Joanna Krupa were the leaders of the night, but I think Mya danced beautifully as well and so did the judges, minus Len. That old buzzard.
