Lindsay Lohan Turns Down $700K Playboy Offer

Posted on 05 September 2008 by tammy

Most of us have already seen Lindsay Lohan’s goodies, but she has decided to spare us all from her nakedness, once again, and turned down Playboy’s $700,000 offer to pose in a eight-page topless spread for its 55th anniversary issue.

Lindsay’s rep said:

“If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no . . . She’s not going down the [New York] magazine road again.”

Hal Lifson, Playboy’s creative consultant, was hoping that Lindsay would pose for a tribute to ’60s sex kitten Ann-Margaret and her film “Kitten with a Whip,” which happens to be one of her favorite films.

I’m quite shocked that Dina Lohan let Lindsay turn down this offer, especially since Lindsay’s Marilyn spread got people talking and put her in the spotlight. Perhaps she is hoping Ali will get such an opportunity someday.

‘The House Bunny’ Review

Posted on 25 August 2008 by Michael DeZubiria

There’s a scene in The House Bunny where a key character inquires as to whether Shelley is, in fact, “that dumb.” One of her fellow sorority sisters immediately stands up and says, indignantly, “She’s not dumb!” This is an important scene, and my immediate assumption was that we, the audience, were meant to shake our fists at the screen and say, “Yeah!” But then I remembered that for well over an hour by then, the movie had been scrambling frantically to get us to laugh at how genuinely and spectacularly dumb she is.

This is a contradiction that permeates the entire movie, with strange results. When I saw that scene, I was immediately relieved that I had found the movie up to that point so completely unamusing, otherwise I would have felt guilty for laughing at this girl, who, I understand, is “not dumb.”

So, in order to flaunt my superiority, I turned around in my chair and shook my fist at the drunk, cackling teenagers at the back of the theater and yelled, “Yeah! She’s not dumb! See? You little punks!” Strangely, this only brought more laughter.

Anna Faris begs for a PG-13 rating.

Shelley begs for a PG-13 rating.

The House Bunny, by the way, is PG-13, which should cause the majority of the male audience to lose interest entirely and confuse anyone over 17 as to why anyone would find such a movie interesting. The story is centered around the life of a Playboy bunny who is ousted from the Playboy mansion. Playboy’s founder himself, Hugh Hefner, plays a sizable supporting role. Would one be out of line to expect a little gratuitous nudity? In this case, yes, because this is a soft porn movie for kids age 13 and up. Nice.

The story is basically Legally Blonde in a sorority house, so it’s obvious that the movie’s message must have something to do with superficiality and obsessions over appearance and other such nonsense.

"Bodaciously going where no blonde has gone before. College." Incidentally, Anna Faris has a degree in English Literature. Mom must be proud.

"Bodaciously going where no bunny has gone before. College." Incidentally, like me, Anna Faris has a degree in English Literature. Can't you tell?

Shelly, played by Anna Faris, is booted out of the Playboy mansion and finds herself homeless, so she decides to shack up with a sorority of uncool girls and teach them how to turn themselves into male fantasies.

It’s sad that the movie fails so completely because there is so much potential there, but, unfortunately, they just don’t know where to stop with the cartoonishly overblown outcasts. These are not your typical college nerds, these are girls that don’t know better than to walk up to some guys in a bar and say, “Hey, where’s the crapper? I gotta drop off some timber.”

Timber!!!

I feel like, in order for the comedy in a movie like this to be successful, we need to be able to point to a few characters and say, “Hey I know someone like that!” Not in this movie. You don’t know anyone like anyone in this movie. But you have, however, seen people like the people in this movie.

Remember that goofy teen comedy She’s All That? One of the cool kids takes a bet that he can take the ugliest, most uncool girl in school and turn her into the prom queen. So we meet little Laney Boggs, the weird art student always covered in paint and unable to get a date to save her life. Zach, the cool guy choosing to accept the mission impossible, has his work cut out for him. But — surprise! — she takes off her glasses and combs her hair and she’s hot! What a relief that the transformation was so easy!

When we meet the girls of Zeta Alpha Zeta, they are genuinely frightening social outcasts. Bitter, confused by social interaction, and more clueless about fashion than your average homeless person, they are quite a spectacle to behold.

But, surprise! Wouldn’t you know it? With the addition of the right, ahem, outfits, a little hip hop bumping in the background, and just the right amount of slow motion, they’re all crazy hot! Who would have guessed?

Interestingly, it isn’t until the very, very end of the film that you will truly realize how purely and incredibly meaningless it is. The movie is about Shelley’s efforts to turn a group of social outcasts into frat party favors, but then it tries to feed us this message about not worrying about what other people think and just being yourself. What the hell?

Beginning with the story about a Playboy bunny that just happens to be rated PG-13, everything in the movie cancels out everything else. There’s a scene at the end that is meant to tie everything together and make it all make sense, but it is one of the biggest forehead slappers I’ve seen in recent memory.

I’ve noticed lately, particularly with movies like Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder, that there are a lot of new things being done in the comedy world. The House Bunny is unsurprisingly unaware of these new ideas and experiments and is merely feeding us the same childish tripe we’ve seen countless times before. One can only hope that, since they are now resorting to a PG-13 Playboy theme, they must surely be running out of ideas….

The Bunny War: Kendra’s Side

Posted on 15 July 2008 by CeCe

A lot of attention has been focused on Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends this past week: Holly, Kendra and Bridget.  Can it really be true that the girls of The Girls Next Door don’t like each other?  Not so fast says one bunny!

The Bunny War: Kendra’s Side

First there were the allegations that Kendra was leaving, she didn’t get along with Holly and Bridget and she wants to date other people.

And telling by all the coverage that is coming from this, it looks like feelings have been hurt and it’s all a bunch of rumors.  Unless Hef and Playboy just have really good publicists.

Kendra has decided to clear the air and give her side of the story on her blog.

The Bunny War: Kendra’s Side

KDUB herself says:

(titled) what the hell is goin on??? haha

“Ok i really dont know whats goin on out there in media world i feel like its me against the world right now. The internet is evil and people have every right to judge but i just wish people would be a lil more sensitive..I never said i was leaving, i never talk shit, i never try n step on anyone up here. Im just tryin to do what i gotta do to live and survive in this cold, nasty world n no im not meaning playboy mansion world, dont twist that haha!!

The show and the media can make me out to be whatever the hell they want me to be and its out of my hands. I cant sit here everyday n try n change peoples minds n get people to love me, but i cant and i dont expect everyone to love me. I have my family and my couple close friends i love and that will do anything for me n i love all of my fans n i try to do my best and show my appreciation..all you can do is try and if you feel like in your heart you are giving everyday 100% i think thats all that should matter and yes things dont always workout in life like business but i dont give up, im a fuckin fighter n ima keep on fightin!!

I am a very strong person but i get really sad when people and people i fricken live with believe rumors n gossip.  I really dont go on the internet cuz like i said, Its evil! but every now n then ill change my music on my page and write blogs defending myself hahaha!! Yes i know i have an annoying laugh but ITS MY LAUGH n theres nothin i can do bout that so im sorry if yall have to put up w it!!!!

I thought things up here at the mansion were better than ever n thought people were getting along great! just cuz we arent always together doesnt mean we r at war!! Im kinda sad right now and i love all you that understand me!! k gotta go n get ready for the espys love yall!!!  KDUB”

Is it me or did she just call out Holly for believing the rumors?!  I believe Holly qualifies as “people i fricken live with.”  So the truth comes out!

The Bunny War: Kendra’s Side

Who knows if this will end the Bunny War, but by the looks of it I think the feud will continue on, maybe for real or maybe just for all the publicity they are getting right now.

However, I do think another blog entry is soon to come.

Maybe they will get Hef to write something to set the record straight!

What do you think?  Is this blonde bruhaha legit or just an act?

Kendra Wilkinson to Leave Hef and Playboy Mansion

Posted on 14 July 2008 by ksouthall

Kendra Wilkinson and Hugh Hefner

It is rumored that ‘Girl Next Door’ Kendra Wilkinson is going to leave Hef and move out of the Playboy Mansion.

“Holly and Bridget hate her. They’re totally jealous. She has her own empire now. She’s got a clothing line, a modeling career and an exercise empire. They’re just sitting there hangin’ with Hef.”

Ouch! Get your claws out ladies, the fur is flyin’!!!

There are aligations that she was never really a girlfriend of Hef and it was all for the show, which I don’t believe. There are pictures of them all together before the show started taping 5 seasons ago. A rep for Hef confirms this by stating;

“Hef has always been clear that the girls were his girlfriends before the show was even signed off on. This is all news to me. We’re going to be launching Season 5 of The Girls Next Door in the fall and everyone’s happy and having a good time.”

Kendra Wilkinson, Hugh Hefner, Bridget Marquardt, and Holly MadisonWell I don’t know about that last little bit, you can clearly see the annoyance on Holly and Bridget face when it comes to dealing with Kendra at times. Kendra is only 23, where Holly is going to be 29 this year and Bridget is 35 next month. The age difference is bound to take a toll, there is only so much immaturity that one can take. It is not a secret that things have been strained during the taping of this season of Girls Next Door so only time will tell when the moving van will be pulling up.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Hef is too old to be putting up with drama, if everyone isn’t happy then move on and let Kendra pay her own way!

The Internet Pin-Up Queen is Now Single!

Posted on 28 May 2008 by CeCe

Internet Pin-Up Queen is Now Single! If you aren’t a guy, then this probably won’t mean as much to you.

Cindy Margolis, or better known as the world’s ‘most downloaded’ person (well, back in 1999) and her husband of nine years, Los Angeles nightclub owner Guy Starkman, have split up.

To give you an idea about how popular Margolis is, at the age of 34, the peak of her popularity, she was downloaded 70,000 times in a span of 24 hours.

Even though she emerged as a star in the early days of the Internet, she is still popular among fans and really just to men in general.

“The end of any marriage is very sad.  However, I feel blessed that Guy and I remain very close, we are truly the best of friends and the most devoted parents,” Margolis told Us Weekly Tuesday.

That sounds a bit too good to be true.  Maybe the two are hoping to remain amicable for the sake of their three children, 5-year-old Nicholas and 2-year-old twins Sabrina and Sierra.

But while it is always sad news for any family when the parents call it quits, this new found “freedom”…if you will… certainly helps the model’s upcoming Playboy cover.  It’s headline reads, “Cindy Margolis Is Sexy and Single!”

Internet Pin-Up Queen is Now Single!

Now that makes sense.

And that will definitely help the mag sell more copies, I’m sure.

Hugh Hefner says that he will never marry Holly Madison

Posted on 14 May 2008 by tammy

Hugh Hefner says that he will never marry Holly Madison

Holly Madison, Hugh Hefner’s #1 girlfriend, has finally came to the realization that she and Hef are never going to get married at last week’s ‘Playmate of the Year’ luncheon when Hef revealed his plans to stay unattached for the remainder of his life.

Since hooking up with Hef in 2001, Madison has been pushing the idea of marriage on the Playboy mogul who says that he has no intention of ever walking down the aisle again.

Looking sad at last weeks luncheon, Madison commented, “We are no closer to getting married than we were years ago. It’s like a car stalled at the side of the road.”

Hef, who is more candid about his marriage plans said, “I love Holly very much and I think we’re going to be together the rest of my life. But marriage isn’t part of my puzzle. It’s not a personal thing; I just haven’t had much luck with marriages.”

Although marriage is not in his plans, running the magazine still is.

“I have no plans to retire,” Hefner added. “It’s the perfect combination of work and play that keeps you young. If I quit work it would be the beginning of the end for me.”

Meanwhile, Hef’s other leading ladies, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, may be getting ready to leave the aging billionaire once and for all.

“My goal is to be hosting my own show and be happily married with children, so I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately,” Marquardt said recently.

As for Wilkinson, she also is thinking about motherhood, something she could never have with Hef. But first, she wishes to build up her brand name a little more [with Girls Next Door] before considering her future away from Playboy.

Hugh Hefner wants Miley Cyrus to pose for Playboy

Hugh Hefner wants Miley Cyrus to pose for Playboy

Due to Miley Cyrus’ racey photo expose, Extra recently asked Hugh Hefner what he thought about young Miley Cyrus posing for his magazine.
“Certainly she’d be welcome to the magazine. She’s a very pretty lady.”

As for the drama caused by Cyrus’ VF shoot? “To make such a big to-do over something as innocent as those photos — I think it’s a reflection of how schizophrenic America is about sexuality.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m quite disturbed that Extra would ask Heff such a question. I mean Miley Cyrus is 15. And although he wouldn’t be able to get her until she was 18, hopefully in three years, Playboy won’t be an issue for her. I’m crossing my fingers that all of this media attention will help her realize that people rather see her as young, pure, and with all her clothes on.

Audrina Patridge’s topless photos.

Posted on 19 March 2008 by tammy

Audrina Patridge feature

The Hills star Audrina Patridge may not have a sex tape, but she does have some naked photos of herself that have made it to the internet.

Audrina took the pictures right after high school when she was hoping to be a Playboy bunny.

Audrina’s had this say earlier today:

“I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was young and very trusting of others and I didn’t know to protect myself. It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me.”

Update: Audrina’s rep told E! News that the photos were not intended for Playboy, but didn’t comment on who the photos were actually taken for…hmmm…maybe since she’s all out there now anyway, she should go ahead and do a Playboy spread.
