The tabloids attacked Ashlee Simpson, saying that she was so unhappy with her pregnancy weight gain that she went to Planet Blue and bought six pairs of size 0 jeans.  Well, Ashlee says that is not true and responded with a Myspace blog saying,

Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue(because I was blue) and bought 6 pair of size 0 jeans.  Now it is ridiculous to read such nonsense about oneself so I thought I would address this one….

1. My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain

2. Have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years

3. Love my maternity jeans…they have stretchy tops it is awesome!

4. My closet full of size 0’s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them

So now that I have cleared that up let me tell you…carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life.  My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about.  I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.  People who talk and judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life!!!

I have to agree with Ashlee, people who talk and judge a pregnant women’s weight do need to get a life.  Not everyone can be like Nicole Kidman, who never even looked pregnant at all.  What do you think…has she gained enough weight to be unhappy?

From a young age, most of us learn what we can and can’t realistically get away with. Ashlee Simpson, however, is not one of these people.

Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz confirm in a statement just released that they are indeed expecting a child

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

AWE! Best worst kept secret in Hollywood has been confirmed. Congrats to the happy couple, they have officially joined the baby boom exploding all over everyone’s face.

Ashlee Simpson left much to the imagination when trying to dodge pregnancy rumors on her appearance on Today on Friday, April 18th. Matt Lauer asked Ashlee how she wanted to handle all the rumors, to which she simply responded, “only time will tell.”

Hmmm…

She then took that carefully worded comment as a lead into promoting her album, stating, “I am giving birth to my record…” Her new album, Bittersweet World, is due to release on April 22nd.

Sources close to the couple hint that this whole pregnancy rumor was created by none other then Papa Simpson. He knows just how to work the media. Go on, promote your little cash cow daughter!

It just seems very convenient that all this is coming about on the eve of her record release. Smells fishy, but then again, maybe it’s the reason for a wedding. In the great and wise words of Ashlee: “Only time will tell.”

Three weeks after giving birth, Christina Aguilera gave her first post-baby interview this morning to Ryan Seacrest on KIISFm.

She admits that she is going “stir crazy” looking after her “stinky” son Max.

She says that he is giving her great inspiration for her next album.”This whole incredible thing that’s taken part in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth, I’ve got so much to be inspired about and so much in my life to write about.I’ve been brain-storming for the last nine months, actually. This next album will have a whole new me, so there’s a lot to look forward to.”

She said Max was “doing amazing”. “He’s so incredible, it’s an unbelievable thing,” she said.

“It’s still the first couple of weeks, every week something new happens. It’s constant changing and he’s constantly changing and doing these incredibly cute things - and stinky things.”

She says another new thing for her is living with Jewish traditions with husband Jordan Bratman - including Max getting circumcised at his bris. “He did have a bris. It was a very sweet experience. We had close friends over to experience the bris with us.”

“We’re such a non-conventional couple we had penis balloons everywhere celebrating.”

She admits to being lucky compared to many other new parents. “I’ve a lot of great help around me. My mother-in-law gives a lot of great advice,” she said.

She also admitted Jordan is much more organized than she is. “My husband is the person who has all the questions [for the doctors], I’ll forget half of them by the time we get in there. He’s really good at staying on top of all the doctors’ stuff.”

She admitts that Paris Hilton did spill the beans about her pregnancy at a Hollywood club before she was ready to tell the world.

“People thought I was trying to keep it this big bad secret for so long. But really I just didn’t wan’t to address it at all. It really wasn’t this big sort of deal.

“Paris did kind of jump the gun a little on it, so she became the official announcer at a club appearance.”

“It was funny. I laughed about it. I was a group of friends ad we all looked at each other a little surprised but we laughed it off. It was actually cute, she did it in a very sweet way so it wasn’t in a kind of tattle-on-you kind of thing.”

Her first interview was to promote a new live DVD. She says she finds it strange watching the shows as she was already three months pregnant. “It’s so weir to watch the DVD back and know that I was pregnant with this little guy,” she said.

Jessica Alba is looking pretty cute on the red carpet with her little baby bump showing under her dark flowy dress. She is expecting her baby to arrive in late spring/early summer. (And, just in case you needed a reminder, father of the babe: Cash Warren. She met him when he was working as a Director’s Assistant on the set of “The Fantastic Four.”)
