Rachel Bilson is on two magazine covers this month, Page Six and Glamour. In her interviews, she speaks openly about her boyfriend Hayden Christensen (and her H necklace), her clothing line, and the presidential election.

On landing in the crosshairs of the fashion police: “I think it’s cool to be on the worst-dressed list. If people aren’t accepting, that’s OK. Bring it on, I don’t care!”
On her new clothing line Edie Rose (named after her late grandmother), debuting on DKNY Jeans: “[Even though I can’t sew,] I came with some pictures, a couple pieces of my own clothes and some ideas in my head. It’s simple with one pop of color, which is like me.”
On crediting her style to her mother, Janice, a spiritual adviser: “Vintage is her love, she has a great eye, which I think I’ve inherited from her.”
On ex-costar/ex-boyfriend Adam Brody: “They say don’t date your co-star, but that’s who you’re around. If you’re in an office, and you see someone everyday and you click well, you’ll start dating. It’s the same thing.”
On rumored boyfriend Hayden Christensen: “I’m happy and that’s all that matters. I have someone really great. Someone who can make me laugh—that’s always what comes first. It’s the best to be able to really, like, truly laugh with someone like they’re your best friend, you know?”

Let’s talk about the presidential election. It’s interesting, the way that young people seem captivated in a way they haven’t been in a while. Thank God! It’s very exciting. I’m really happy that there’s so much heat around this election, because there needs to be. Right now, we need a change. I campaigned for Kerry [four years ago], and I supported Hillary.
What was it about her? Did you feel drawn to her because she’s a woman? Well, I definitely like that idea. I mean, there’s nothing more empowering than to know that I was alive to see [the possibility of] the first woman president. I think our country needs that femininity, you know? Still, I hope Obama wins.
And what’s next for you? You seem to be between acting gigs right now. Does the world feel wide open? Definitely. I’d love to do a musical. I’d love to do comedies…. I know what I want to do, but it’s just not as detailed as I’d probably like it to be.
I have a few dating questions, even though I can tell you’re going to scrunch up your nose. Whose initial is that hanging around your neck, which you very cleverly tucked inside your dress? Well, I’ ll let you make your own assumption.
