Just like her boyfriend, Russel Brand, Katy Perry is set to host the MTV EUROPE Music Awards!

The 25-year-old pop singer is hosting for the second year in a row!  This year’s ceremony will be broadcast live from Berlin on November 5 (Thursday).

Katy is nominated for best video for her video “Waking Up In Vegas”.

MTV has announced their nominations for the 2009 VMA’s and the ladies clearly dominated the categories.  Beyonce and Lady Gaga both earned 9 nominations for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” “Pokerface” and “Paparazzi.” Britney Spears also earned seven noms for “Womanizer” and “Circus.”

But the real show down will be between Eminem and Kanye West as they go head-to-head competing with eachother in the four same categories.  Eminem’s “We Made You” clip goes up against Yeezy’s “Love Lockdown” for Video of the Year, Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Video.  And “We Made You” squares off with Kanye’s “Paranoid” for Best Special Effects.  Em has already won 9 Moon Men while Kanye has only won 2 out of his 11 nominations.

Russel Brand will host the award show yet again and the stage will be filled with performances by Green Day, Pink, Taylor Swift, and Muse.  Katy Perry,  Ne-Yo, and Chace Crawford are confirmed to be presenters.

The “2009 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT).

Russel Brand 2009 MTV VMA’s Video Of The Year Nominees

P-Diddy hosted his renowned “White Party” this Saturday, July 4th and in LA this year. Normally the party is held in NY or the Hampton’s but probably due to Michael Jackson’s funeral, everyone who’s anyone will be attending his memorial.

The White Party was “thrown to raise money for Malaria No More, a non-profit organization geared towards ending Malaria in Africa”.
