Ryan Gosling just publicly fired off a letter on behalf of PETA to the CEO of McDonalds, Jim Skinner. The 29-year-old actor is NOT a vegetarian… but he is voicing his anger with McDonald’s inhumane chicken-slaughter practices.
Read the letter:
Dear Mr. Skinner, I was shocked to learn from my friends at PETA that McDonald’s, a company that claims to be an industry leader in animal welfare, still allows its suppliers to use an outdated chicken slaughter method that results in broken wings and legs and causes birds to be scalded to death in defeathering tanks.
Many of McDonald’s suppliers in Europe already use a much more humane slaughter method that eliminates the worst cruelty. What’s your excuse?
Because no federal laws govern the treatment of chickens during slaughter, the responsibility lies in your company’s hands to create and maintain a high standard of animal welfare. I hope you will agree that the time has come for McDonald’s to truly take action to reduce the suffering of chickens killed for its restaurants. I look forward to hearing your decision. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ryan Gosling.

I know we all love Ryan Gosling the actor, especially us girls after his romantic role in the Notebook. But there is another side of Ryan that we hardly ever see, Ryan the musician. We must remember that Ryan started his career on the hit Disney Channel show The Mickey Mouse Club, which means that the man has some singing chops.
Ryan will release his album titled Dead Man’s Bones, October 6th.
Here’s Gosling talking about what motivated the album’s sound:
“You know when you’re a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw whatever you want and it’s just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it makes sense, and then they put it on
the fridge? From that point on, you’re always trying to get back on the fridge you start drawing things that look like something, like, the more it looks like a horse, the more chance you have of getting it on
the fridge. We wanted to get back to that place before we were trying to make
the fridge. We wanted to work with people who hadn’t been affected in that way yet.”

I love that Ryan is finally putting out an album, although in my opinion some of his songs seem kinda spooky. Unlike Justin, JC,Christina, and Britney, Ryan doesn’t seem like he is doing this for the fame or fortune, more for the passion like fellow Mouseketeer Tony Lucca. (Who is amazing by the way, so check him out.)
Ryan Gosling is our pick for Freak of the Week. Sorry Ryan, normally you are super gorgeous.
Ryan Gosling is showing off his bruised eye and broken nose on the set of his new movie Blue Valentine.
Yes this is just make-up. Nobody really mangled his pretty little face. Thank God.
Ryan cruised around the set with his deformed face signing autographs for fans signing everything from casts to jackets. He even had time to hug and chat with his fans. (Aw, I wish I was there even if Ryan didn’t look so pretty.)
Blue Valentine, also starring Michelle Williams, centers on a contempo married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods.
After Gosling and McAdams’ split in the early 2007, many of their fans were disappointed to see the ending of their romantic relationship and hoped that they would be together again, just like the ending of their famous tearjerker The Notebook. Well, looks like the fans’ wishes have come true!
Since Rachel showed up to support Ryan’s deejay debut at Green Door Lounge Hollywood and was seen enjoying a good time with him, rumors have been circling around that Rachel and Ryan were, indeed, trying to rekindled their love. On Thursday in Toronto, Rachel and Ryan were spotted kissing and cuddling with each other during what appears to be a lunch date. These pictures are so cute! They look inseparable.
Ryan Gosling made his DJ debut Tuesday night at the Green Door lounge in Hollywood; however, a representative that handles PR for the lounge made it clear that he will NOT not be Deejaying weekly.
For Gosling, deejaying is “a pretty new thing for him,” says one of his friends. “He’s been messing around. He’s really into music, and he’s a fan of the night – and here he is.”
Spinning tunes from the ’40s and ’50s, Gosling (27) was dressed from the era, sporting a white T, black pants and a motorcycle jacket.
Other celebs in attendance were getting their groove on, including Catherine Keener, Shane West, hockey ace Sean Avery, and Ryan’s ex-now-gal pal Rachael McAdams.
McAdams arrived later to “support Ryan,” says another friend of Gosling.
“They talked when he was away from the deejay stand,” says the friend. “They really looked like good pals. He seemed happy to see her.”
Ryan Gosling is fighting for chicken’s rights, hoping to stop the abuse that is happening to roughly 1 billion of the chickens that are being raised and killed every year for restaurant use.
26-year-old Canadian actor, Ryan Gosling, fired up a complaint letter to KFC Canada operator John Bitove CEO of Priszm Income Fund, urging him to stop KFC suppliers’ worst abuses of chickens on factory farms and in slaughterhouses.
Here’s Ryan’s letter to KFC:
“Dear Mr. Bitove,
I am discouraged to hear that KFC Canada has not intervened to eliminate the abuses that birds raised and killed for KFC restaurants suffer, despite the strides that are being made by other companies.
I understand that KFC Canada is still allowing its suppliers to scald chickens to death in scorching-hot water tanks and that many birds still suffer broken wings and legs because of violent treatment prior to slaughter. As a Canadian, I hope that you’ll set a good example for KFC operators in the U.S. and elsewhere by stopping the worst abuses endured by the birds killed for KFC Canada’s buckets. Won’t you please consider setting a precedent that all other KFCs can follow?
The time is ripe to do the right thing. By adopting the basic recommendations made by PETA and scientific experts (including raising birds in a more natural manner and employing less cruel slaughter methods), you could dramatically improve the lives and deaths of chickens raised and killed for KFC Canada.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling revealed that while on the set of the Mickey Mouse Club, he taught fellow mouseketeers Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera about sex.
He explained, according to Heatworld: “I was just telling them what I’d heard about sex, you know, positions and stuff.”
And this hot topic landed him in hot water with Disney execs.
Gosling added: “Disney had a meeting with me, and they were like, ‘You’re not Disney material. We’re gonna kick you off the show if you say anything sexual again.’
“I’m fucking 12! All I care about is sex! How can I not talk about it? I don’t know what they expected.”
Ryan Gosling is getting around. First Hayden and now this week he is supposedly dating Heath Ledgers ex Michelle Williams. They were seen together at the Piadina restaurant in New York. Onlookers claim that they couldn’t keep their hands off eachother.
One said: “They were both smiling and he was gazing at her. They looked very much a couple.”
Reps for both actors say the two were having a lunch meeting discussing a film project they will be working on together.
