The National Enquirer has gotten a hold of Lynne Spears’ book, Through the Storm: A Real Tale Of Fame And Family In A Tabloid World, before its September 16th release date and published a few of Lynne’s parenting tips.
Brit Brit started hitting the bottle at the age of 13. This was right after she joined The Mickey Mouse Club. Lynne said she really didn’t care as long as she was around while Brit drank. Don’t blame Lynne! I bet you Donald Duck gave Brit her first Jack & Coke. He’s a drunken mess!
When Brit was 14, she started dating some 18-year-old high school football player. Lynne encouraged it because she thought it would make Britney more popular. She even let her stay over the dude’s house. Well, that dude ended up taking little Britney’s virginity when she was just 14.
Brit went to Los Angeles to record her first album when she was 15. That’s when she started doing drugs. Lynne thought she was going through typical teenage issues. A year later, Britney was caught with coke and weed while trying to board a private jet. She was 16… not so typical.
That same year, Brit started sleeping with Justin Timberlake. Lynne let them to sleep together in Britney’s room. She said she knew they were doing it, but allowed it because Britney was “in love” and thought that JT was good for her.
Lynne claims she is now sorry for the way Britney was exploited, but she doesn’t claim to have had any part in it. She blames it solely on Britney’s management, who Lynne says controlled her life and sexualized her.
It makes me mad that Lynne is trying to wipe her hands clean from Britney’s reckless behavior and poor life choices. Who is really that naive to not see that your own daughter’s behavior wasn’t normal, healthy nor safe? The fault definitely does not fall completely on Hollywood.
I believe that Lynne’s poor mothering skills will bite her in the ass some day. We have already seen what being a daughter of Lynne’s is like: you become crazy and have a mental break down, or you become a teen mother and probably not completely right in the head, too. And while she is turning her cheek to your bad behavior, she will, in due time, throw you under the bus by revealing to the world all your mistakes and why you are as messed up as you are, and try to claim innocence.
She makes me sick. This book is all for the money and attention. She should be ashamed of herself.
