Remember the cute single dad that Deanna Pappas rejected in last season’s The Bachelorette? Well he’s back as the new Bachelor. Now it will be Jason who gets to do the choosing as 25 women compete for his love when The Bachelor returns for its 13th season in January 2009.
For those of you that don’t know too much about Jason, he is an account executive in estate and legacy planning and a single father from Seattle Washington. Jason loves golf, swimming, basketball, and football and takes
guitar and swing dancing lessons. He has a BA in psychology from the University of Washington and is a Big Brother for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America. He hopes to form his own children’s charity one day.
According to Ap, the 32 year old Bachelor is looking for a lady who, “has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can find passion in life’s smallest moments.”
Sounds too good to be true. Good looks, brains, and an interest in children’s charities. You would think that any women would feel lucky to have a guy like Jason. So why is he divorced?
What do you think…Is he a good catch or too good to be true?

Does this news surprise anyone? Because it definitely doesn’t surprise me. I can’t believe that the couple lasted as long as they did.
Former Bachelor Matt Grant and his bride-to-be Shayne Lamas have gone their separate ways, lasting a whole two months. The two tried hard to convince the public that they were madly in love but the only people they were fooling was themselves.

“We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions,” the duo said in a statement. “We truly care about each other and will remain close friends.”
The pair have been trying to fend off rumors that their was trouble in their relationship since Grant chose Lamas over Chelsea Wanstrath in The Bachelor’s season finale, and have been questioned many times as to why the couple never moved in together or were never photographed being in the same places.
“This stuff makes us stronger,” Grant, 27, said last month.
Anyway, that makes 10 out of 11 Bachelors (not including the not-ready-for-a-relationship Brad Womack) who have opted out of the matches they made during their stints on the ABC series.

After 10 weeks of ‘The Bachelor’, Matt Grant, narrowing the field down, he finally made up his mind and proposed to Shayne Lamas.
At the final rose ceremony, Chelsea was the first one out of the limo, which most of the time is not a good sign. Matt told her that she was amazing and this whole experience would not have been the same without her… but that it was not going to work out between them.
Really upset about the rejection, Chelsea lashed out and blurted that “Shayne is the fakest” person on The Bachelor. Of course Matt was not pleased with this. But realized he had more important things to deal with- like getting himself engaged!
When Matt sees Shayne, he tells her that he came on the show to find true love and he found her. Matt than actually got down on one knee (shocker in The Bachelor history) and asked Shayne to marry him. She of course said yes followed by lots of kisses and “I Love You’s”

Tonight at 10pm on ABC, the latest Bachelor (London Calling) will meet the families of the remaining four Bachelorettes and decide who is worthy of his British affection. Matt Grant, the lucky man of the season, will meet the families of Amanda, Chelsea, Noelle and Shayne, deciding who will receive the final two roses.
The latest season of The Bachelor has been lukewarm at best. Drama between the girls has been halfhearted and besides the attraction of his hot accent, Matt has followed suit with past bachelors as an attractive, yet empty-headed single dude. Which girls do I want to receive the roses? Amanda and Noelle seem like sweet, harmless women who care about Matt. The chemistry between Chelsea and Matt just isn’t there. Who do I think will move on? Shayne has proven herself to be an entertaining and surviving competitor, one of the girls Matt is most attracted to, and I admit, a girl I would love to be friends with. And if the rumors are correct, Matt may want those Lorenzo Lamas connections to get into the industry. Stay tuned for tonight’s show; we’ll see how smart I am.

We can always count on Reality show producers to find Americas finest. Just when you think that reality show women can’t get any trashier, The Bachelor: London Calling introduces us to Stacy, a 26 year old Graduate student from Dallas, Texas.

Stacy joined the cast of the Bachelor confident that she would be the final Bachelorette. She claimed to be the “whole package.” Stacy’s confidence was obviously shaken early on in the show. As an attempt to wow the Bachelor, Stacy stuffed her lacy white panties into his pants while he conversing with another Bachelorette. She then later passed out drunk in one of the mansions many rooms. Needless to say Stacy did not receive a rose and was sent home. Way to represent the “whole package!”
