On Friday, April 18th, Ashlee Simpson performed her new single “Little Miss Obsessive” live on Today show.
I would have preferred a lip-synched performance. Perhaps she has nasal allergies? In any case, there’s no doubt Simon Cowell would have ripped her a new one for this pathetic performance. Her pitch was bad, dawg.
No worries, Ash… I’m sure Paula would at least compliment your outfit.
If you’re still interested (and tone deaf), you can buy her new album, Bittersweet World, in stores on Tuesday, April 22nd.
Poor Timbaland. I’m sure even he can’t perform such production miracles.
Ashlee Simpson left much to the imagination when trying to dodge pregnancy rumors on her appearance on Today on Friday, April 18th. Matt Lauer asked Ashlee how she wanted to handle all the rumors, to which she simply responded, “only time will tell.”
Hmmm…
She then took that carefully worded comment as a lead into promoting her album, stating, “I am giving birth to my record…” Her new album, Bittersweet World, is due to release on April 22nd.
Sources close to the couple hint that this whole pregnancy rumor was created by none other then Papa Simpson. He knows just how to work the media. Go on, promote your little cash cow daughter!
It just seems very convenient that all this is coming about on the eve of her record release. Smells fishy, but then again, maybe it’s the reason for a wedding. In the great and wise words of Ashlee: “Only time will tell.”
Rob Lowe’s former nanny, Jessica Gibson, is going public claiming that the Brothers & Sisters star “exposed himself, touched himself and groped her several times, in her lawsuit, filed yesterday in Santa Barbara,” according to TMZ:
“The suit also alleges that the actor grabbed her butt without her consent in December 2007, around the time she quit working for the Lowes.”
Jessica appeared on the Today Show this morning with her attorney to relay her side of the story. To me both sides seem a little suspicious. Here is a clip of the interview.
Kathie Lee Gifford, America’s beloved (ahem) ex co-host of Regis and Kathie Lee, has been hired by NBC to be a new anchor of the Today show with Hoda Kotb. Good thing the Today Show is scripted; the woman may have the gift of gab, but who wants to listen to an over-the-hill stay-at-home mom with too much time on her hands go on and on about her spoiled kids? Wait, isn’t Cody like 30 now? She still talks about him like he’s taken his first steps. Cut the cord, Kathie. Yeah, we got it, you’re full of it… motherly love, that is.
Come on NBC… first you go and push Katie Couric to the side, and now this? Who’s next? Rosie O’Donnell?
‘New Kids On The Block’ made an appearance on the Today Show to answer some of their fans questions. They will be coming back and performing on May 16.
After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that New Kids on the Block are returning for a reunion. All five members, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, will appear on the Today show on April 4 just in time for the 20th anniversary of the release of their mega-hit album Hangin’ Tough.
The boy band, which made legions of tweens swoon in the early ’90s, selling more than 50 million albums, became a worldwide phenomenon before calling it quits in 1994.
And what have they been up to since then you ask? Well, the oldest “Kid,” Jonathan Knight, 39, retreated back to Boston to become a real estate developer. Former members Wahlberg, 38, and McIntyre, 35, have seen successfully acting (of course everyone knows that about Wahlberg–to think he used to be our little Markie-Mark!), while Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Jordan Knight, 37, has continued to record.
Right when you think she’s gone forever, she sneaks back into our lives. Kathy Lee Gifford is returning to morning television and will be hosting the “4th hour” with Hoda Kotb on the Today show.
Kathie Lee said, “It’s going to be a new experience because this time it’s with a girlfriend. Regis was like a bad little brother all those years. A much older brother. He looks good for his age!”
Today’s executive producer told reporters today, “She is a morning television icon and is on a short list of personalities known by her first name alone. We are looking forward to her signature warmth and sense of humor in the ‘Fourth Hour.’ Her addition to the TODAY family makes us stronger than ever, and she and Hoda will continue the TODAY tradition of smart, topical and fun morning television.”
