This time around, Britney Spears isn’t leaving a bad taste in the How I Met Your Mother star’s mouths.

After her last appearace, Neil Patrick Harris wasn’t too thrilled that she had guest starred anyway. He wanted Spears to be banned from the television set. He said he had nothing against the pop singer personally, it’s just that he doesn’t think the show should bring guests aboard for a ratings boost alone.
“I’m in the minority that our show does not need stunt casting in order to succeed,” Harris declared to The Associated Press in an interview last month.

Well he can eat his words now, because the two seem like they have gotten a lot closer. You might even argue they would make a cute couple, I mean, if they ever dated, but I can dream, can’t I?

I think Britney looks absolutely gorgeous in this picture! It’s been a while since we’ve seen this softer, innocent side of her. And it’s been a long time since I’ve seen her hair look this good too.

The new pals will debut as boyfriend and girlfriend on the newest episode on Monday May 12th on CBS. Here’s a small clip from the episode but tune in to see the whole thing!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on the new cover of Fitness magazine’s latest issue. The gorgeous co-host of The View has been working hard to get back to her pre-baby body after the birth of her baby son Taylor six months ago.

Call me crazy but six months?! She tapes a talk show every morning, just had a baby, lost all that weight, takes care of her other child, is married to a professional athlete… she should be nominated to be the new Kelly Ripa.

To prepare for her cover of the magazine’s June issue, Hasselbeck worked out for six weeks, including daily runs and weight training. And to get that flat belly back, she did ab work two times a week.

Hasselbeck is married to NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, who plays for the Arizona Cardinals. The couple also have a four year old daughter Grace.

Her break into showbiz was back in 2001, when she was one of the final four contestants on the reality television show Survivor.

I’m happy she decided she didn’t want to be that skinny again! Yikes, it’s kinda scary…

Hasselbeck made headlines in 2007 when she and former co-host Rosie O’Donnell engaged in a heated war of the words on air. If you want to revisit that memorable TV moment, I went ahead and found it for you. Enjoy!

Extra is reporting that newlywed Mariah Carey cancelled her previously schedule appearance for this Monday with the ladies at The View.

No explanation was given for the abrupt departure.

Could it be she is too busy celebrating her nuptials with her new hubby?!

Looks like we’ll have to see!

I don’t think anyone will be surprised by this.Gary Coleman, 40 and his wife, Shannon Price, 22 are set to appear on Divorce Court. The first half was aired yesterday and the second half will air today.To give you a little history of the two, met on the set of the 2006 comedy Church Ball, dated for a year, and then they decided to get married, for what reason I do not know. They were married on August 28, 2007, Price’s 22 birthday.Among the problems the pair discusses with Judge Lynn Toler are Coleman’s anger and intimacy issues. Looks like Lindsay Lohan is jumping on the TV guest appearance bandwagon.It turns out that the actress is in advanced discussions to guest-star in Ugly Betty’s May 22 season finale, which is currently in production.But that is not the best part!Far from it! The big news is that Betty producers are currently talking to La Lohan’s camp about bringing her back next season for an extended guest spot– we’re talking eight episodes here, people!This is great news for Lohan, seeing that her career really hasn’t been going in the best of directions lately. It would be modest to say she is a bit eager for a comeback of sorts.  So this picture may be more accurate than we think…If Lohan joins the cast, this is what Ugly Betty would look like.This idea definitely spurs from CBS and How I Met Your Mother’s rating boost from having Britney Spears guest star. I’m sure ABC exec’s are hoping Lohan can perform the same magic for Betty, which, despite bringing out it’s creative big guns, has seen its viewership tumble by double digits.Ugly Betty’s numbers have dropped double digits post-Writer’s Strike, according to TV Guide.

Specifics on Lohan’s character are still being finalized, but the original idea was to have her play a hapless fast-food worker that Betty befriends. Not sure if that would still be the plan. I don’t think Lohan would go for that.

I don’t know if a lot of Betty fans are keen on the idea of Lohan coming on the show, especially if it is for an extended stay. But I would take what I can get and hope that this boosts the ratings! And who knows, she might even turn out to be just as good as Britney!

Britney Spears has made a comeback!!

…to the How I Met Your Mother show, that is.

Production on a new episode of HIMYM— guest starring the pop star — started Monday.

In an episode set to air May 12, Britney Spears will return to her role as Abby, producers officially announced.

Titled “Everything Must Go,” the episode finds Spears and Neil Patrick Harris’s character, Barney, flaunting their “relationship” in front of Josh Radnor’s character, Ted. Desperately seeking a response, Barney pops a surprising question to Abby.

Earlier this month, People reported that Spears would return to the sitcom after charming the cast and crew. A show source described Spears’s return as a “mutual decision to work together more.”

In a new statement, HIMYM’s executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said, “We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you.”

Spears’s initial guest turn — on a March 24 episode — earned critical praise and the show’s highest ratings.

So will Spears one day be added to this cast?

Doubtful, but at least she did great on her first appearance and will undoubtedly be better on her second!

What a great week for Brit!

Matthew Fox admits that he has a temper - but only when he is driving. The actor suffers from severe road rage and always takes out his frustration on other drivers. He says that he screams obscenities at people who fail to adhere to the highway code. I would venture to say this happens a lot in L.A. traffic.

Fox says,

“If someone cuts me up on the road. I will scream at them. Something like, ‘Are you out of your f**king mind?’ That’s a special one of mine.”

Matthew Fox, you bad boy, you! But he insists he isn’t as bad as his wife of 17 years, Margherita Ronchi.

He adds, “My wife Margherita is from Venice, Italy - she yells at everyone!”

Well, Matthew, looks like you two are made for each other!

So, the new Survivor premieres tonight at 8pm on CBS….I thought I’d check out the website and see the new cast.  Anyone how has been to the official Survivor site will find that it’s tedious and cumbersome to see the cast’s individual videos–I had to watch the same few ads over and over again each time I clicked on a new cast member–ugh!

Long story short–I did it so you wouldn’t have to….and here’s what I found out:

James (the gravedigger) and Amanda from last season are both back.  They both think this season is gonna be cake compared to China because they’re on a beach with an abundance of food sources–ripened fruit, coconuts, and easy to catch crabs.  James said he’s always liked going to the beach anyway, but his main concern: the “serious strategizers” since he’s now playing against the best of the best.  He said he’s going to have to try to be more social because he’s not the only muscular/athletic one in the group, saying, “Ozzy’s athletic so it takes my gimic away from me”.

Amanda wants to align with James but currently thinks he’s mad at her–unknown beknowst to her, James is glad Amanda is there–she thinks it is important that they stick together because they know so much about each other.  She thinks she hurt too many feelings in China and doesn’t want to do that again. 

Ozzy, got 2nd place last time around at Cook Island, and said it left a bitter taste even though it was quite a feat to get that far.  He thinks James is going to be the hardest to beat because of how well built and athletic he is; so, he also wants to build relationships as fast as possible.  Ozzy’s part of a 3some returning from his season (Ozzy, Jonathan, & Parvati)…Jonathan says there’s bad blood between him and Parvati and there’s going to be trust issues between them; nevertheless he’s determined to befriend her and start an alliance.  Ozzy also thinks it would be wise to use their 3some to their advantage, but he voted Parvati out last time around and Parvati hasn’t forgotten this.

Parvati, who says she’s more cynical and less trusting now and knew she could come back and win this time, has no intentions of aligning with Jonathan or Ozzy.  She’s glad they are there because she knows them well and knows how to work them.
