Angelina Jolie’s ‘W’ Magazine Breastfeeding Cover

Posted on 09 October 2008 by Jyl

In the latest ‘W’ Magazine’s issue, Angelina Jolie is featured on the cover, apparently breastfeeding in a picture taken by Brad Pitt.

Inside, the magazine boasts an “intimate” look at Angelina, with more shots taken by Brad Pitt in their Southern France home. Angelina Jolie looks absolutely stunning in a simple moment in the role she seems to play best: mother.

While most celebrities with new babies either hide them away or go with the posed and

overdone gossip magazine cover, this picture of a mother taken by the father during a tender moment seems to be the most genuine and natural representation I’ve ever seen on the subject.

The family welcomed twins Vivienne and Knox to the world over this summer, with Angelina having said that Vivienne takes after her in looks, while Knox looks like Brad.
In a recent Parade interview, Angelina said,

“I’m very happy, and I’m so lucky. The world can like me, hate me, fall apart around me, and at least, you know, I wake up with my little kids and I’m happy.”

With the numerous films and charities that Angelina Jolie is apart of, it is still inspiring to see that she takes such an active and supportive role in her family, while still looking gorgeous and poised.

As for breastfeeding, Angelina has said,

“We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of management but it gets a little crowded at the bar.”

And she still has a sense of humor about it all.

Anne Hathaway Talks About Her Ex Raffaello in W Magazine

Posted on 10 September 2008 by tammy

Anne Hathaway is on the cover of October’s issue of W magazine. In the magazine, she discusses her feelings about her swindler ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri and that whole money scandal thing.

She said,

It’s a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden.”

Anne went on to say,

“And [Get Smart co-star] Steve Carell stepped up for me during an interview when someone asked a question [about it]. He said, ‘At some point you’re going to have to talk about this time in your life. You don’t have to do it this week. I’ll take care of anything that comes your way.’ I’ve been shown such kindness. Not everyone gets that. A lot of people go through tough times alone.”

Anne didn’t only talk about the whole Raffey fiasco, but also about her Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt.

Anne said, “Emily Blunt kind of changed my approach to acting. She just fucking got on with it. She’d just jump off the diving board. I’d stop, look at the water and then jump. And suddenly, I just thought, ‘Why, her way looks so much more fun.’

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson on W magazine

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson on W magazine

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson are on the new cover of W magazine to promote their new movie “The Other Boleyn Girl” were the girls fight for the love of King Henry the VIII.

Both of Scarlett and Natalie are wearing dark make-up and Miu Miu dresses. The girls in the photos are giving off a very distant, intense look. For as beautiful as these girls are, the photos do not at all enhance their beauty. Quite a disappointment with this powerful duo.

Here is a little bit of the interview in W:

On monogamy:
Natalie:
“I’m into monogamy. But I’m not really into marriage right now. I sort of hate the legal aspect of it. What does the state have to do with it? Why are they making rules that say my lover can stay in the United States if they’re foreign or share my health care benefits because I’m straight — but if you’re gay, you can’t have that?”

Scarlett:

“I’ve been battered for saying that I don’t believe humans are monogamous by nature. The response was, like, ‘What a ho-bag!’ I didn’t mean that I don’t practice monogamy in my own life — of course I do! I’m not going to be in some tarty relationship… I remember another time. I said I get tested for AIDS twice a year, and again that got spun as me being promiscuous. But I was single at the time, and I think it’s important to do that!”

On trying to stay out of the limelight:
Natalie:
“I don’t want people to have a juicy read about me. I’ve been trying to watch more TV [in an effort to better] converse with people. People talk about TV way more than you think.”

Scarlett:
“You’re never going to find me at the Ivy. I don’t care how good the Cobb salad is. These tabloid magazines — I think they’re hideous and the downfall of society,” she said, referring to a recent US Weekly story accusing her of having had a nose job. “It was as ridiculous as if they’d showed side-by-side pictures of me at 11 and 20 and saying, ‘Look, she grew breasts!’”

On who they’re voting for:
Scarlett:
“I will continue stumping for [Barack] Obama until he’s elected. The past eight years have been painful for a lot of people. We’re in a state of emergency.”

Natalie:
“I met with about 10 representatives… and Hillary [Clinton] was by far the sharpest. Did you read Gloria Steinem’s op-ed piece?” Natalie asks, citing Steinem’s January 8 column about the presidential hopeful in the New York Times. “Hillary’s just so experienced.”
