Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart

Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart

According to Forbes, Will Smith and Cameron Diaz are on the top of the charts for being the highest paid actors in 2007.

Will Smith brought in $80 million last year, with 10% of that goes to that creepy scientology society of his. Cameron Diaz is the highest paid female actress getting paid $50 million. (Why? I still haven’t been able to figure it out. If I never saw her in another movie for the rest of my life, it would still be too soon).

The 5 most overpaid actors in Hollywood:

Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart1. Will Smith- $80 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart2. Johnny Depp - $72 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart3. Eddie Murphy - $55 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart4. Mike Myers - $55 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart5. Leonardo DiCaprio - $45 million

The 5 most overpaid actresses in Hollywood:

Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart1. Cameron Diaz - $50 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart2. Keira Knightley - $32 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart3. Jennifer Aniston- $27 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart4. Reese Witherspoon - $25 million
Will Smith & Cameron Diaz Top The Forbes Chart5. Gweneth Paltrow - $25 million

Can someone please explain to me why some of these people make so much money? I mean Eddie Murphy hasn’t made a decent movie in like a decade. And although there are still some people still bitter about the Jennifer Aniston/ Brad Pitt break-up, their is no way that Jen should make $27 million while Angie gets a mere $14 million. I would take Angie over Jen any day.

Hancock - More One Liners Then You Can Shake a Stick At

Posted on 08 July 2008 by ksouthall

Hancock

Hancock was freakin awesome! Don’t worry, no spoilers!

Will Smith has done it again. Everything this man touches turns into box office gold! He has to be the surest bet in Hollywood right now, as this was his 6th consecutive hit. Hancock has grossed about $103,887,446 so far and it has only been out a week.

Will Smith and Charlize Theron

Basically it is a wicked awesome action movie that doesn’t get all stupid with love scenes and character development. You are thrown into his world and play catch up as the movie progresses. Charlize is of course hot and on point with her nicely form physic, as was Will. Jason Batemen plays a nice comic relief but doesn’t over due it. The movie is full of funny one liners and has enough attitude that will win over parents.  There is cursing so this isn’t really a movie for young ones that into the repeating stage.  In fact right after the first bad word I inexplicably heard a young voice in the theater say it right away. PG13 people!!

All the actors are truly believable in their roles. The only thing that I thought it lacked was a tad more action. The movie runs about an hour and a half, and they could have beefed it up to maybe hour forty five and added some more drunken flying around LA or extended fight scenes. All in all well worth the eight bucks and I would recommend to any action fan.

Oh and a black super hero? My only question is; why did it take so long?! We need more of these!

Will Smith Buys His Kids a School

Posted on 23 May 2008 by Loretta

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith decided that since California schools are unsuitable for their two young children they would just lease their own school.

Will-Smith-Family

The Smiths announced Monday, May 19, that they paid $889,000 to leases Indian Hills High School in Calabasas, California for three years. Will Smith has stated that,

We started home-schooling our children probably six years ago. We found about eight or nine other parents that home-school, so we put them together… There’s just very powerful educational concepts that we believe in, and we feel like ‘I want to design the system that revolutionizes public education.’

Will-Smith-Family

The school will be known as the New Village Academy of Calabasas. A spokesperson for the family issued a statement saying,

Will is leasing the campus for three years, plus he’ll cover all costs such as utilities. The academy will be run privately, and will include prekindergarten through grade six.

Will-Smith-Family

With the current budget crisis in California I bet most parents wish they had close to a million dollars to spend on their children’s education. Can you imagine the special treatment his kids are going to get. What teacher would fail the school owner’s child? Is this school even going to have teachers or is it just a place for a bunch of parents to come and home-school their children together?

Kids’ Choice Awards!

Posted on 30 March 2008 by tammy

Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2008

Last night Jack Black hosted the 21st annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards live from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in front of 10,000 screaming fans–almost all of them teens and preteens.

I haven’t watched the awards since I was a kid, but from what I heard, I didn’t miss too much. Jack Black wasn’t so funny (the hosts rarely are since it’s all so pre-scripted) and the performances by Naked Brothers and Miley Cyrus apparently left much to be desired; which isn’t too surprising because they always sing the cheeziest songs about school and friends. Some teeny-boppers really have no talent.

Here’s a little re-cap:

Akon crashed a dune buggy into giant containers of Nickelodeon’s trademark green slime; Usher blasted a sumo wrestler several yards with slime fired from a cannon; and supermodel Heidi Klum, attached to a bungee cord and wearing a specially equipped “butt spike belt,” flung herself into a wall covered with slime-filled balloons.

Cameron Diaz injected one serious moment into the 90 minute show when she accepted a silver blimp as this year’s ‘Wannabe Award’ winner, representing the person kids most want to be like. After a montage of clips from both her movies and her efforts on behalf of environmentalism was shown, she encouraged the crowd to do their part to protect the planet.

“You’re going to change the world. Every one of you kids is the future,” she told the audience. “Everybody go out and make the world a better place.”

Diaz, who was the first ever Kids’ Choice Awards burping contest winner, has long said that was the favorite of all her awards. She said this one has now trumped it.

Jason Lee accepted the favorite movie award for “Alvin and the Chipmunks” and said it was one of his biggest thrills.

“I’m going to hang this from the ceiling because it’s the greatest award anyone could receive because it was voted on by the kids,” he said as he held his blimp.

Jack Black, announced that 88 million votes were cast this year, more than twice last year’s record number of 40 million.

The show concluded with Black and Orlando Bloom sitting in chairs high above the audience being drenched with what Black claimed was 27 million gallons of green slime.
