Paula Goodspeed, who audition for American Idol in 2005, was found dead in her vehicle outside the Sherman Oaks home of Paula Abdul around 6:p.m. on Tuesday, November 12th.  

Paula Goodspeed was a self-proclaimed Paula Abdul fan.  If you remember back to her audition she stated,

I really like Paula Abdul a lot.  She’s really cool…I’m like a really big fan and I make life-size drawings of Paula.  I’ve been drawing ever since I was a little kid, and my first drawing was of Paula Abdul.”

It is unclear why Goodspeed took her own life or why she did it in front of Paula Abdul’s home, however, according to Los Angeles Police Captain James Miller,

Ms. Goodspeed’s mother had gone to [the sheriff's department] to report her daughter missing and advised them that she might be suicidal.

LAPD officials then “determined that Ms. Goodspeed may be up in the vicinity by Paula Abdul’s house.  Our officers discovered her vehicle parked on the street and found her inside.  She was unresponsive to officers.”

Thankfully Paula Abdul was not home when the incident took place, but stated, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by what transpired yesterday.  My heart and prayers got out to her family.”
