2012 is ending on the best note possible for Dancing With the Stars co-host Brooke-Burke Charvet.

Brooke revealed in a home video last month that she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but optimistic about a full recovery. She underwent thyroid surgery last week and just revealed the good news that she is now cancer-free! "I just got the results back from all of my tests and great news - the thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear," she wrote on ModernMom.com. "And thank GOD! My surgery went really well and recovery is much better than I expected it would be."

Brooke Burke-Chavet revealed she has a severe medical issue that hardly makes you want to dance.

The Dancing With the Stars co-host was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a routine physical and posted a home video on YouTube that explains what's next for her. "I need to have thyroid surgery and a thyroidectomy, which means I'm going to have a nice, big scar right here across my neck," she said. Brooke has already booked an appointment for the surgery and said both she's optimistic about a full recovery. "I'm just going to make a positive out of this negative thing," she said. "I'm going to be a really good patient and I'm going to do everything that I need to do. My doctor did tell me this is a happily ever after kind of thing."

Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Hopper was set to travel to Australia to make an appearence at an exhibition of his artwork and photography at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne.
