One of the less likely celebrities has stepped into the gun control battle.

Jim Carrey is hardly known as an activist, but his first real foray into that arena is guaranteed to cost him at least a few of his 10 million Twitter followers. He posted a video to Funny or Die on Monday that mocked late actor and former NRA President Charlton Heston in a Hee-Haw style spoof called "Cold Dead Hand." But it was his tweets promoting the video the day before that got people really hot and bothered, making the actor a very unlikely topic of conversation on all the morning chat shows.

Angus T. Jones might have struggled to gain notoriety while standing next to Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer on Two and a Half Men, but he's famous for all the wrong reasons now.

After an epic religious rant where he called the show "filth" and urged viewers not to watch it, the media has been having a field day mocking him. (Rainn Wilson of The Office even took a turn spoofing the video.) But the best comedic take on this rant has come from former Friends star Matthew Perry, who used his apparent love of Jesus as a gigantic publicity tool for his new show Go On, urging fans not to watch it.
