It's the answer we've been waiting six whole years for!

Monday night's series finale of Gossip Girl left viewers on the edge of our seats, awaiting the reveal of the mysterious (and mischevious) blogger Gossip Girl's real identity. Of course, the storyline took several twists and turns before Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) finally handed over his research to Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) for publication.

With Hurricane Sandy gearing up to wreck havoc on the east coast over the next couple of days, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has shut down public transportation in the city, effectively giving everyone the day off. Unless you work for Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Hurricane or not, Jimmy Kimmel isn’t letting anything spoil the week-long return to his hometown of Brooklyn, where his show will be filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. And his extremely A-list lineup of guests including David Letterman, Jon Stewart and Howard Stern are all still attending."We are bringing in back-up generators and will be able to do our show in the event of a power failure. We are also flying staff and crew out earlier to beat the storm,” said a show rep to Entertainment Weekly. "We have had no audience drop-outs so far despite news of the storm." We doubt anyone is calling to drop out since tickets to the show are free and any sane New Yorker is more concerned about their safety than watching Howard get interviewed, but that’s neither here nor there.

It’s a sad day in the Upper East Side -- Gossip Girl has officially wrapped up its sixth. As we sit and cry into our cashmere sweaters, the cast went down a happier route and threw a wrap party in NYC that involved a little cake fight!

Thanks to Serena’ mom – a.k.a. Kelly Rutherford – we get to pretend that we at this ultimate good-bye bash with all of her Instagram pictures.
