It's official: One Direction is hitting the big screen next year!

No, they're not getting their acting feet wet though. The boy band is set to do a 3-D concert movie and it's already been given a release date. "We are going to do our first-ever movie and it's going to be in 3-D and it's coming to cinemas near you on the 30th of August, 2013," announced band member Niall Horan yesterday on, umm...TODAY.

There's no doubt that Christina Aguilera has the ability to act, but let's just her choice for an ideal role leaves a lot to be desired.

After garnering positive reviews for her role in the 2010 musical Burlesque, X-Tina says she wants to get involved with more acting projects. The only problem is that her ideal role isn't realistic for a very specific reason. "I want it to be honest and genuine in expanding my wings and doing something really, really different. A crackhead on the street or a drug addict," she said according to E! Online. At the risk of sounding super insensitive, we've never seen an overweight crack addict before. Like, ever. Unless she's willing to follow Matthew McConaughey's current diet plan for his upcoming movie, it's unclear how that's going to work out.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reportedly brought in an astounding $24 million in midnight showings alone. The first of the last two Harry Potter films opened at 3,700 locations across North America and had an amazing turn out, but still fell short of the midnight showing record.

Still holding strong at #1 is Twilight: Eclipse with $30 million.
