17 High School Girls Make Pregnancy Pact

When I think of high school, things such as tests, homecomings, and football games come to mind... not 17 pregnant girls parading down the halls. Yes, I said 17! The city of Gloucester Massachusetts is investigating an apparent "pregnancy pact" made by 17 high school girls all under the age of 16.

The girls all planned to get pregnant and raise their babies together. Now, I'm only a few years out of high school but I don't remember ever telling my friends: "hey ya'll lets get pregnant and raise all our babies together ok?! It'll be fun!"

But wait! It gets crazier! At least one of the babies was fathered by a 24 year old homeless man. Sure, there are hundreds of teenage boys in a high school perfectly capable of doing the deed, but no, this girl had to go find a homeless man to be her babydaddy.

One can't help but think where are these girls getting the idea that teen pregnancy is cool? Do last years hit movie Juno, and new mom Jamie Lynn Spears have a bigger effect on teens than we thought?
