5. Her name and age

Demi's real name is Demetria Devonne Lovato.  She was born on August 20, 1992, which makes her 16 years old.

4. Her Career

emi's career began when she was given the part of Angela on Barney & Friends at the young age of 6.  She then appeared in several different TV sitcoms including, Just Jordan and As the Bell Rings, however her biggest success and the role that put her on the Hollywood map was the part of Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock.  In addition to acting, Demi is a singer.  She released her solo album, Don't Forget, on September 23, 2008.

3. Her talents 

 Not only does Demi sing and act, she also plays the piano and guitar and writes her own songs.  She wrote "Stronger," "Open," and "Shadow," which was featured on her show As the Bell Rings.

Demi is of Hispanic, Irish, and Italian descent and has two sisters.  Her older sister, Dallas Lovato, is a singer and actress and is five years older than her. Her little sister, Madison DeLaGarza (they are half-sisters), is ten years younger and landed the role of Gabrielle Solis' daughter, Juanita, on Desperate Housewives.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have been friends since they met at the auditions for Barney & Friends when Demi asked Selena "to sit on my jacket and draw with crayons with me."  Her recent additions to her friends list include the Jonas Brothers.  Demi has been spending a lot of time with the Jonas Brothers, she was the opening act for their Burning Up Tour, she had the pleasure of announcing them at the AMA's, and at the Dallas Cowboy's Thanksgiving Day football game Demi sang the National Anthem,and the Jonas Brothers did the half time show.
