1. Her name
Miley Cyrus' birth name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Her parents named her Destiny because they believed that she would accomplish great things. She was later given the nickname "Smiley" because she smiled all the time, but as she grew older her family shortened it to "Miley." Miley officially changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus on May 1, 2008.
2. Her Pets
Miley Cyrus is an animal lover. She has many pets that include, horses, dogs, cats, fish, and chickens. Reportedly, these are her dog's names: Sofie, Roadie, Loco, Tex & Mate.
3. Charity In 2007 Miley Cyrus pledged to give the City of Hope $1 for every "Hannah Montana" concert ticket she sold. Miley stated, "the cool thing about being a part of the City of Hope is that they are a cancer research center. They're not only helping kids that are there, but also finding out how they can heal them by figuring out what exactly is going on, which is amazing." Miley also donated $1 million to the charity Youth Service America in 2008.
4. Knitting Miley Cyrus and her co-stars, who are also her friends, like to share talents. She taught her Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment how to play the guitar and Emily taught her how to knit!
