Iraq Star Event Hosted By Dr. Phil

dr-philHere in Los Angeles, the stars took a moment to honor the men and women of the military, who have risked life and limb for our country, at the Iraq Star "A Night of Honour" celebration hosted by Dr. Phil.

The Iraq Star Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting war veterans recovering from physically disfiguring injuries.

We spoke with Micaela Bensko, Vice President of Iraq Star, Gary Senise, an honoree at the event, and Dr. Phil about the value of a program that will help soldiers who have been wounded in the war.

The founder of the program, Maggie Lockridge, started Iraq Star, after serving as a nurse in the Air Force.  She saw the need to help the soldiers who were not able to afford the critical surgeries they so desperately needed for reconstructive surgery or prosthetic limbs.

According to their website, they have over 200 surgeons on call, in over 42 states.
