Look out Broadway!  Abigail Breslin may be little, but she has an enormous amount of personality and talent to go around.

At the age of 13, Abigail has taken on impressive and challenging movie roles, possibly yet to come to Broadway is her most inspiring work seen through the eyes of Helen Keller.

Breslin will be starring as the historical figure with heroic determination to overcome hearing and seeing disabilities, in the revival of Wiliam Gibson’s The Miracle Worker on Broadway, the Associated Press Reports.

“I am so honored,” Abigail said in an interview. “It’s like the biggest thing in the world. … I have read the biography of Helen Keller. So I’ve always known the story, and it’s always been something I wanted to play.”

“Helen is a hero of mine — for so many reasons. She never gave up on herself and she had so many people who believed in her like her teacher Annie Sullivan.”

The play is scheduled to open March 3, with previews beginning Feb. 12 at Circle in the Square Theatre.

This is very exciting news! What do you think about Abigail’s new role?
