Afraid of Flying? There’s An App for That!

Posted on 03 November 2009 by Loretta

Virgin-Atlantic-AirlinesVirgin Atlantic Airways has teamed up with Apple to launch an app for Flying Without Fear, a course that brags about a 98% success rate of overcoming fear.

The app is designed to help iPhone and iPod touch users overcome their fear of flying whether it be a fear of an unfamiliar aircraft, losing control, or one of the many noises you hear aboard a plane.

Virgin Atlantic president Richard Branson stated,

Our first iPhone app will bring the benefits of our successful Flying Without Fear course to millions of people around the world who are now using mobile technology to make their lives better.  The app will put many travelers at ease and enable them to prepare for their first Virgin Atlantic flight.

What will they think of next?

I’m sorry but no stupid phone is going to calm my fear of flying, there are only two things that can calm a panic attack, pills and booze! Fear of flying app would not cut it… well unless it dispenses anti anxiety medication with a shot of patron to chase….
