Abercrombie & Fitch filed a federal lawsuit against Beyonce claiming that her upcoming product line called “Sasha Fierce”, includes a fragrance which apparently is a knock-off of one of their own line of fragrances, named “Fierce.”
In the suit, Abercrombie claims that they sent Beyonce a cease and desist letter in 2008 when she started applying for a “Sasha Fierce” trademark. Beyonce apparently rejected the demand by saying the general public would have no problem distiguishing between the two companies products.
A&F is suing Bey to try to get her to stop promoting under her “Sasha Fierce” name so consumers don’t get confused and think that the two product lines are connected.

Hey you know what’s funny about Abercrombie suing Beyonce about her new perfume? It’s the second best way to guarantee that it will be a huge success (the #1 guarantee being a Federal ban). Even I want to try it now!

Abercrombie sucks anyways.
Seriously, Beyonce has pratically been trademarking Sasha Fierce (the name) since the CD came out. I’ve never heard of their fragrance anyway! How the hell am I supposed to think that Sasha Fierce and Fierce are connected? Just because Walmart and Kmart have “mart” in the name doesn’t mean that I think they are somehow connected. It amuses me how these marketing execs think that consumers are a bunch of mindless zombies…ugh >.<
