Brazilian Model Loses Hands and Feet to Urinary Tract Infection
[/caption]Model Mariana Bridi da Costa was diagnosed with a severe urinary tract infection. It was initially misdiagnosed as kidney stones but once the doctors figured out what was really going on the infection turned fatal, and surgeons were forced to amputate when septicaemia set in, cutting off her circulation.
