Calvin Klein’s Controversial “Three-Some” Billboard

Posted on 15 June 2009 by Tammy Cakes

Calvin Klein is known for thier provactive ads from Marky-Marks famous underwear ad to Brooke Shields slogan “Nothing comes between me and my Calvin’s.”

Now they are raising controversy with their new “Three-Some” billboard, displayed in SoHo, which features a young-looking topless female model lying chest-to-bare chest with a male model that has his hand in her pants. She, of course, is kissing a second male model while another one waits his turn on the floor.

Via New York Daily News:

“’It’s borderline pornographic’, said neighborhood resident Lisa Marchese, 36, a marketing specialist. ‘They all look so young, particularly the girl. And to portray them in a threesome – it’s just taking it too far.’”

There is no question that sex sales. But did they take it a little to far? In my opinion I think that ad is hot, but it is definitely an ad that should be displayed only in magazine. Ads like this are for adult eyes only. What do you think?

I can see the artistic factor of Calvin Klein’s ads, but I do agree he goes too far. This is a little too much even for him though. right in line with the crotch shot he did years ago
