Does Tom Cruise Suffer from Mental Illness?

According to Dr. Drew Pinskey (celebrity rehab) Tom Cruise may be suffering from some sort of mental illness.

Dr. Drew stated that,
A lot of people in the public eye, who behave strangely have mental illness we can learn from, and much of it based on childhood trauma, without doubt. Take a guy like Tom Cruise. Why would somebody be drawn into a cultish kind of environment like Scientology? To me, thats a function of a very deep emptiness and suggest serious neglect in childhood-maybe some abuse, but mostly neglect.

Tom Cruise's lawyer responded by saying that Pinsky is an "unqualified television performer who is obviously just looking for notoriety. The last time we heard garbage like this was from Joseph Goebbels."

Dr-Drew

Dr Drew's rep responded with, "Dr. Drew meant no harm to Mr. Cruise and apologizes if his comments were hurtful."

Tom's lawyer said that Pinsky is a "posturing flake" who "pretends to diagnose people he's never met."

Drew's rep said,
Although Mr. Field's intent is clearly to slander and discredit Dr. Drew, under no circumstances is Dr. Drew making a blanket diagnosis about Scientology nor Mr. Cruise whom he does not know. Dr. Drew was simply using Mr. Cruise as an example of someone who is recognizable to help the public understand. Again Dr. Drew meant no harm.

So does this mean that all of the 55,000 reported Scientologists in the U.S. are suffering from mental illness or just the ones that jump on couches when they get excited? Tell me what you think, is Tom Cruise mentally ill?

He wants to rule over everyone, give advice and have control and be admired with great esteem without any talents to do so.. therefore he needs the rules and regulations of a religious cult suitable to his commands and napolean quirks.. Wow.. he is so handsome and wise and strong in the movies and dates then marries Taller women. Hail our King and Ruler for sure! Ick!

Speculation without proof is gossiping, in my eyes of being objectional Mr. Cruise yes might have made mistakes in his personal life(were not perfect) Mr. Cruises business(entertainment), has been phenominal. Well chosen and very few flaws.
-->Religion everybody has one, if everybody couldnt choose ours, we wouldnt be individuals. Just let the drama stay on the camera.

The way he left Nicole K. with 2 adopted children seemed to me soooo cruel! Cruelty at extreme levels could fall under the category of mental illness. Im my modest opinion... that was an extreme case.

Scientology is...no doubt...a cult. Indeed many of its richer patrons are...to some degree mentally challenged. To what degree...I know not. Of course...the cult's founder...its associates have made it clear over the years...that membership is a lifetime committment and members have been punished for attempting to leave. So...I would say that the frustration and inappropriate actions demonstrated by Cruise is...in part...a reaction to the absolute control they have over him. Accordingly, to play with cults until you absolutely understand the nature of the beast.
