Footage of Salma Hayek Breast-Feeding African Baby Creates A World-Wide Reaction

Since ABC's "Nightline" aired a story last week about Salma Hayek's goodwill trip to Sierra Leone, there has been a world-wide outpouring of reaction.
The clip of Hayak nursing very hungry baby boy (ironically born on the same day as her own daughter) has surfaced on YouTube as well as on dozens of other web sites, drawing thousands of comments.

Hayak told the camera crew that she breast-feed the baby in part out of compassion for a suffering child, but also to help lift the stigma against breast-feeding in Africa, where men often think women can't have sex if they're still nursing. "So the husbands, of course, of these women are really encouraging them to stop [breast-feeding]," Hayek said.
While breast-feeding in Africa is taboo, cross-breast-feeding is just as taboo here in the U.S. Sites like Mothering.com are praising the actress for stepping in promoting the need for breast-feeding.
