They also attempted to gain full control of medical decisions as well; but due to the necessary paperwork not being filed, that has not been granted. However, the temporary conservatorship is wide sweeping in that they are allowed access to her medical records and can communicate with her treating physicians.
We all hope this finally means Britney can get the care she desperately needs (assuming her parents have her best interests at heart--which is likely in a case this severe). It really appears as if Britney has more than just bipolar disorder....could losing visitation rights with her children have pushed her into a complete psychotic breakdown? Does she have Multiple Personality Disorder? If you've seen the videos of her speaking in a British accent, you have to have noticed the lost, distant look in her eyes. She looks lost, scared, distance and in one word: mental. She really does look like the mentally ill you often see on the streets of LA and that is very very sad to see happen to anyone. One can only imagine what her family is going through seeing their daughter that they once knew and loved completely disappear into mental illness of this severity--let's hope she can get the care she needs this time around.
