Jennifer Lopez is having a Scientology birth
Mega-star Jennifer Lopez is following in the footstep of actress Katie Holmes and is having a Scientology birth. This means a natual birth that is done in silence and painkiller free.
Lopez and husband, Latin singer Marc Anthony, are followers of Scientology. This religion believes that a loud hospital environment and the doctor's loud shout of "push, push," can have damaging effects to the newborn later in life.
“The idea of silent birth is based on L. Ron Hubbard’s research into the mind and spirit. He found that words spoken during moments of pain and unconsciousness can have adverse effects on an individual later in life,” the Scientology website states. “What has been said during traumatic experiences such as birth records in a part of the mind called the reactive mind. These recordings store and have the power to influence a person by dictating thoughts, emotions and psychosomatic ills not under his control.”
All I can say is good luck and lets see how long it will be until you're second child after that painful experience. I mean look at Katie Holmes. We don't see her talking about wanting another child any time soon.
