Last Night's 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' Set's Record Ratings
I'm not surprised that the first episode of 8th season of 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' had a record high rating of 9.8 million viewers last night. I definitely tuned in to see what the couple had to say about their crumbling marriage.Normally when I watch the show I think Kate is an evil witch but for some reason last night I felt really sorry for her.
Jon claimed that he didn't have an affair with another woman but that he allowed things to get too comfortable with her. He apologized for not thinking things through and noticing that feelings were transpiring where they shouldn't be.
Kate claims that she didn't have an affair either. That for the past couple of years she has been traveling a lot to promote her books. Because the show is very popular, and their lots of paparazzi following her every second of the day, she needs a body guard, and that is all he is.
You could feel the tension between them in the interview room. Jon is mad at Kate for making him take care of the kids by himself while she is out traveling the country. He says there was never a discussion about this plan. Kate decided on her own that she was going to leave and travel and that was that.
I don't know what he is complaining about. Kate already had her turn of staying home with the kids, feeling like a single parent while he worked outside the house. Now it's his turn.
In the end Kate wants to work on this marriage and do what ever it takes to make the kids happy. Jon on the other hands seems to want out of the marriage and fast. He's doing his best with Kate and putting on a happy face just for the kids.
The episode also was aboutt he sextuplets 5th birthday party. Kate went all out planning the birthday party by herself because Jon apparently needed a vacation. Kate says this was an important birthday for the kids because it was the last time the kids would celebrate being 5 and it was probably going to be the last time that the family had there picture taken together.
So sad. I was waiting for the day that those two would get a divorce and now that they might, I don't want it to happen.
