Mark Stanford's Wife Kicks Him Out And Letter's To His Mistress Are Revealed
Mark Sanford, Governor of South Carolina, announced to everyone recently that he had been unfaithful to his wife and had an affair with "friend" Maria Belen Shapur, from Argentina.
The State newspaper in S.C., was the first to accuse Sanford of his cheating. They located him at the Atlanta airport, blowing his Appalachian Trail hiking cover story he told everyone, which in the end forced him to admit his affair.
When Mark's wife Jenny found out about the affair she kicked Mark to the curb, but not after trying for two weeks to work at seeking "reconciliation through forgiveness."
The whole forgiveness thing was not working for the woman. How can you learn to trust someone who was cheating behind your back during their travels?
Eventually, "to look my sons in the eyes and maintain my dignity, self-respect, and my basic sense of right and wrong, I asked my husband to leave."
Jenny says she asked Mark not to contact the family during their separation.

"Good for her I say! Good for you! Finally! I never understood why these women had to stand by their douchebag at the press conference. He's like, 'Oh I did this I did that then I took off her dress and then we went to Hooters'...I think what the wives should do is just wear a t-shirt that says 'I'm with stupid.'"
Maria Belen Shapur, refused to talk to one of the newspaper's reporters when approached at her home in Buenos Aires, but the governor's office doesn't dispute the content of the emails, which date back a year or so.
