Melissa Rycroft Engaged Again
Barely four months after enduring the most humiliating break-up on live television history on The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft is engaged yet again this time to long time friend, Tye Strickland."Sometimes the stars align and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should," she said in a phone call to Good Morning America this morning.
The newly engaged couple celebrated with 20 friends at Cretia's restaurant.
"When they walked in, everybody stood up and clapped," the staffer says, adding that Rycroft looked "beaming happy." The 26-year-old Texas native and Strickland toasted with champagne and stayed until the restaurant closed at 2 a.m.
"We've been really good friends, but the timing was never right," she told Us Weekly of Strickland, who she started dating not long after Mesnick broke off their engagement.
"With all this going on, he's my support system. It's funny how things happen."
