Michael Jackson Doctor's Houston Clinic Raided by DEA
[/caption]Uh-oh! Looks like trouble for Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's doctor! DEA agents and local officials surrounded Dr. Murray's north Houston clinic and bum rushed the door! In a statement released by the doctor, the agents were just looking for medical records. DEA spokeswoman Violet Szeleczky said about 20 people were in the Armstrong Medical Clinic, including the staff. A crowd gathered around to watch the action go down.
OK first of all let me digress here, and just ask why police and DEA would have to organize a surprise attack on the doctor's clinic if what they were after was something simple like records? Wouldn't the DEA be involved if it was about, oh say, drugs? Police officials investigating Micheal Jackson's death have already spoken with the doctor two times and say that he is cooperating in the investigation, so why all the hoopla? Sounds fishy to me!
Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyer has posted the following on his website:
"The coroner wants to clear up the cause of death; we share that goal," Chernoff said in his statement. "Based on Dr. Murray's minute-by-minute and item-by-item description of Michael Jackson's last days, he should not be a target of criminal charges."
"Dr. Murray was the last doctor standing when Michael Jackson died and it seems all the fury is directed toward him," Chernoff said. "Dr. Murray is frustrated by negative and often erroneous media reports, he has to walk around 24-7 with a bodyguard. He can't operate his practice. He can't go to work because he is harassed no matter where he goes."
Miranda Sevcik a spokeswoman for Ed Chernoff, Murray's lawyer, told AP Murray's legal team was surprised by the search. She said the agents were looking for Murray's records, not drugs. She declined to comment any further, or say if this was in connection to Jackson's death.
Dr. Conrad Murray was the one that was with Michael during his last days on earth. He was also the one pumping all those drugs into his system. He is really coming to the forefront in the wake of Michael's death, and a lot of serious questions have been raised.
I do know this, LAPD is beginning to learn from past mistakes and they are making sure not to mess up this investigation! They know the whole world is watching and they have a lot of people to answer to, they are not going to just slap this together. I have a feeling it will be a while before any real answers are found, whether the doctor had big part in Michael Jackson's demise.
