Ryan O'Neal And Farrah Fawcett Getting Married
Ryan O'Neal announced on 20/20 that he asked long time girlfriend Farrah Fawcett to marry him and she's agreed."We will, as soon as she can say yes. ... Maybe we can just nod her head," O'Neal told "20/20's" Barbara Walters.
The actors have been dating off and on since the '80s and have a son together named Redmond. "I used to ask her to marry me all the time," he said. "But ... it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it."
With Fawcett's health deteriorating due to her battle with cancer since 2006, O'Neal assures Barbara of the marriage, ""I promise you, we will. ... Absolutely."
We have just learned that Farrah has been hospitalized again in a Southern California hospital and is expected to be released today. Ryan O’Neal has reportedly asked a judge to allow her their son to get a temporary leave from jail to visit his ailing mother.The complete interview with O'Neal will air Friday on "20/20" at 10 p.m. ET.
