Seth Rogan Working on Seven Projects
The comedic mastermind behind the film "Superbad" is in different stages of production on seven films to come out over the next two years, and I, for one, am ecstatic!Seth is one of today's writers that gives me hope for the direction of Hollywood. His writing style is natural and conversational, a welcome change from the typical formulaic films that studios have been pouring out for years. I loved "Superbad" for the fact that I could relate to the characters one hundred percent. It was like watching myself at 16 years old.
So, what's to come?
"Pineapple Express" will be the next release, written by and starring Seth Rogan. It's about a stoner and his weed dealer who is on the run after witnessing a cop commit murder.
After that, we will have to wait until 2010 to see Seth's remake of the classic show "The Green Hornet."
But, in the meantime, he will be acting in four other films and doing voices in another animated comedy. It's so refreshing to see films that are coming out of this new generation of writers -- a generation that is breaking away from the typical style of film-making and allowing their creativity to flow. Looks like we have some laughter in our near future. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Seth has coming.
