OMG!  Everyone is so shocked to learn that Shane Sparks was arrested this morning by LAPD on 9 counts of child molestation.  TMZ is reporting,

“the alleged incidents began occurring in 1994.  According to the criminal complaint Shane allegedly committed the crimes of lewd acts upon a child — all felonies….the lewd acts include oral copulation and other acts ‘with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions, and sexual desires of the defendant [Sparks], who was at least 10 years older than [the victim].”

So, while we are all surprised, I have a suspision that those deep in the dance industry might not be.  They could possibly be sitting back and saying, “I told you so!”  You see, about a year ago, we had a conversation with a dance industry insider who said that while Shane Sparks has a lot of fame due to his shows, he’s actually not well respected within the industry because of his reputation of being inappropriate with young girls.

At the time of hearing this we thought it could have been typical jealousy talk–you know, someone envying the opportunities & successes that Sparks had– but now to hear this news, apparently this insider could have been dead right!  And that’s a scary thing because I think that Sparks runs a dance school for minors!  We are looking into this right now to confirm; but, if he does teach minors, I have a strong feeling that more girls will begin coming out of the woodworks… like Tiger Woods case all over again.
