Taylor Hicks to play Teen Angel in Broadway's 'Grease'
Just when Taylor Hicks seems to be falling out of the spotlight completely, he does what most other American Idol contestants do, Broadway.
Hicks will be joining the cast of Grease starting June 6 and will play the role of Frenchy's gaurdian angel and singer of "Beauty School Dropout", Teen Angel, at Brooks Atkinson Theater.
The production hasn't had the greatest reviewes since it kicked off last August- but it keeps audiences coming with the help of Max Crumm (Danny) and Laura Osnes (Sandy) the winners of NBC's Grease: You're the One That I Want!
Hicks who is no longer signed to Clive Davis' J-Records, joins Clay Aiken, Fantasia Barrino, Tamyra Gray, Frenchie Davis, Diana DeGarmo, and Constantine Maroulis to the list of Idol contestants who have appeared on Broadway in the past several years.
