The Unstoppable Kristina Klebe

Horror in springtime? Actress Kristina Klebe rocked it on the Friday the 13th premiere red carpet looking stunning in her crème dress with accents, and now she is getting a ton of buzz about her upcoming zombie flick “Zone of the Dead.”

Best known for her lead role as Lynda in Rob Zombie’s remake of “Halloween,” Kristina Klebe will soon be seen as Isabella Rossellini's daughter, Katerina Bollenbecker in the upcoming feature film “The Accidental Husband,” directed by Griffin Dunne, starring Uma Thurman and Colin Firth.

She has had a great start to her 2009 as Klebe recently attended the Sundance Film Festival in support of her role in the film “Peter and Vandy” starring Jason Ritter and she will soon be seen in an upcoming issue of Brazilian Vogue.

In the past she has appeared on TV shows “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Rescue Me” and worked with notable directors such as M. Night Shyamalan (American Express commercial), Spike Lee (“She Hate Me”) and Tom DiCillo (“Delirious”).

The impressive hottie actress Kristina Klebe and Hollywire got together to discuss her career—past, present and future!

Hollywire: Tell us about your role in “Peter and Vandy.”

Kristina Klebe: My role in “Peter and Vandy” is small but very pivotal [laughs]. Not sure if I should say more actually! After the premiere in Sundance a few people came up to me after and told me they kept on waiting for me to “come back,” so it’s a good sign and means they were thinking about my presence [in the film] a lot.

HW: What was it like working with Jason Ritter?

KK: It was great. He's such a nice guy and very down to earth and genuine - qualities that don't always pervade Hollywood sets.

HW: How was Sundance in general?
KK: I had a blast at Sundance. It wasn't as cold this year so it was easy to dress up and have fun without freezing!  I met a lot of interesting people. Most exciting was meeting Alan Cumming whom I absolutely adore. I've probably seen close to all his plays in New York - unless there are some that were in a dark room and unpublicized, which with Alan, seems totally possible.  I saw a few films, but not as many as I would have liked. But I did get a good day of skiing in!
HW: Yes, I believe your photo with Alan Cumming is on Wire Image!
HW: What do you have coming up in 2009?

KK: I have two movies coming out this year at some point - one is “The Accidental Husband” and the other is “Zone of the Dead.” “Zone of the Dead” just got picked up by Epic Pictures to distribute so I'm hoping we'll have a US-based theatrical release. The movie premiere will be in Serbia in two weeks and I'm hoping to be there for that as I play the female lead. I've heard it's a great film - non-stop action and I get to kick a**. I'm attached to a few films so we'll see when those materialize and I'm also working on my web series “FRICK” which we are still trying to find some funding for.

HW: Besides acting, we hear you have many other hobbies. Tell us about what you do in your spare time.

KK: I like to travel a lot. Pretty much when I'm stagnant for more than a month, I start getting the itch to travel again. And I love working with animals. I volunteer with Best Friends as a foster. I also freelance as a videographer for random shoots. I shot Pete Townsend's "In the Attic" show recently for a DVD for Best Buy. I really love being behind the camera so I usually jump at opportunities to do that.
