We talked to Isabella, aka Strawberry Fantana, the hip fashionista of the group. To look the part, Isabella went from this:

Wow, you look amazing, but they stripped you of your gorgeous locks! People pay big bucks for hair like that!
Yeah, the directors wanted to make the Strawberry the trendy and hip member. They thought shorter hair would better express that character.
Fame and beauty comes with a cost, and when asked about how she felt about the dramatic cut, she explained:
I freaked out because my mother loves my long hair and when I told her about the makeover for the part, she made me promise her that I would not let them chop off my hair.
But Isabella personally didn't mind because she knew that if they did drastically she wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love.
I've always thought that was a great charity, so I saw this as an opportunity to help someone who is going through difficult times. Everyone who can should do it. I would love to meet the person who received my donation.
Agreed... anyone who has the gift to grow hair like that should spread the joy!
