Billy Mays Autopsy

Before going to bed on Saturday night, Billy Mays complained of having a bad headache. When his wife woke up Sunday morning, it was too late. He had already passed. When someone complains of a headache prior to sleeping and not waking up, the first thing that comes to mind is brain trauma. However, the pitchman who advertised during our favorite shows likely died of heart disease. According to the autopsy conducted in Tampa, Florida, he suffered from hypertensive heart disease and died of a heart attack when the muscular wall of his heart thickened. Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Vernard Adams explains that,"The heart disease is perfectly consistent with sudden death." But the official cause of death will be determined after toxicology and other tests are completed in 8 to 10 weeks, around when the Michael Jackson tests will be complete. But prescription drugs are less likely to have played a role in this tragic death.
As for advertising industry, we may never see a better pitchman. This week has certainly been a tragic one. In order to avoid suffering from any unknown disease, it is important and sometimes life-saving to be routinely checked by a doctor.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Mays family and friends.
