Brian Austin Green is Smallville’s Metallo

Posted on June 18, 2009 - 12:40pm by tammy Brian Austin Green, who was previously supposed to star in One Tree Hill, has made a new home in Smallville playing the villain, kryptonite-powered cyborg Metallo. TV Guide reports that the 35-year-old actor will appear in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which premieres Friday, Sept. 2. Metallo was first introduced to DC Comics back in 1959 as a journalist in "Daily Planet" named John Corben. He encountered a near-fatal accident and got nearly disfigured, but was saved by scientist Professor Vale who transferred his brain into a robotic body with artificial skin. Seems interesting and exciting. Too bad I've never seen a full episode in my life.
